My daughter got married here in last part of the year 2025. The staff were nice and accommodating…read more We handled the decorations ourselves, which was fine. The contract includes the reception and caterer, and the venue itself was beautiful. Unfortunately, the caterer (Mangia Italiana) really let us down, and they are the main reason I'm giving this a one-star review. The food was bad: the pasta was overcooked, the salad was terrible, and the dinner rolls were hard. The servers also had attitudes. Much of the food was left uneaten by the guests. While guests were still eating, the servers had already started clearing tables, making it feel like people were being rushed to finish food that wasn't even edible. I promised my daughter I wouldn't say anything, but we recently ate at Mangia Italiana, and it was another disappointment.

Conrad was the best DJ ever!! We saw him perform at another wedding last December and were elated…read morewhen we learned our date was free for him. He was such a gentleman; serving the bride her food, folding her napkin for her, asking the whole bridal party what they wanted to drink at the head table, talking to the parents of the bride and groom, dismissing tables for the buffet, and doing the worm on the floor around 11pm once the dance floor was really popping. But to be honest, the dance floor was never not popping. He played the best mix, with just the right amount of slow songs and none of the cheesy wedding songs. 10/10 would recommend for every wedding!!!

By nature, I'm a highly critical person. I have been to many weddings (including my own big day)…read moreand have never seen a more organized and PERFECT DJ. Reasons why this company is the BEST I've ever seen: 1. He had the entire wedding party's names memorized, including the parents of the bride/groom. 2. He kept the entire evening moving at a great pace. There was never too much down time, and it also never felt rushed. His leadership orchestrated the bridal party's entrance, table dismissals to the buffet, tossing of the bouquet, garter toss, bride/groom shoe game (which was awesome), video presentation about bride/groom, dollar dance, and he made sure to play guests' song requests. 3. He spaced out the songs to keep a variety of people involved. It would go from upbeat music, to crowd faves (cha cha slide, etc.) and then back to slow songs. 4. Enthusiasm! He had a great attitude and comedic lines the whole night! If I had my own wedding to do again and if I lived in the Omaha area I would DEFINITELY hire this crew to DJ my wedding. I appreciated their extreme professionalism & organization, literally the BEST I've ever seen and made my rating of the wedding go from A to A+++++. Awesome night!

I recently visited RJE in planning our daughter's wedding reception. (Her wedding will be in Zion…read moreNational, Utah. The reception will be here in Omaha.) I had been looking for furniture rentals and RJE had exactly what I was looking for and the prices are so reasonable. I love the fact that they deliver and pick up everything. Bonus! The items they offer are beautiful. Megan was easy to work with and quickly responded to my email inquiries. RJE is located in Wahoo, NE. I live on the northwest side of town so no big deal for me. The only draw back for me was that they have no signage and I found it extremely hard to find. I'll give another review after the reception but based on my first interaction, all positives....we'll almost all positives from me. That nasty little thing called a sign. Puleeeeze put a sign on your door.

My wife and I hired Rachel J Events to plan our 2022 summer wedding. We are so happy to be married,…read moreand many things about our wedding were beautiful, but our experience with Rachel as a wedding planner left many things to be desired. We spoke to a few different local wedding planners and ended up selecting Rachel because of the promise of experience and organizational programs she used. Prior to beginning meetings about our wedding, we agreed upon a set wedding budget. After hiring Rachel, we first had an initial meeting to discuss our overall vision for the design of our wedding--prior to this meeting, Rachel had us upload inspiration photos to the client portal. In the second meeting, Rachel and her team presented us with the first design layout based on our requests. In this initial meeting, we were shown gorgeous plans that were well aligned with our vision, and we were so excited. Imagine our shock when after being shown this beautiful plan, we learned that the proposed design plan had already exceeded our wedding budget by 3 times, which didn't include other expenses such as food, DJ, etc. We expressed to Rachel that this would not work for us, since we had clearly expressed what our budget was. This was very early in the planning process, and we were already experiencing a lot of issues. After we declined the cost in the design meeting, our interactions with Rachel began to carry a different tone. Rachel took zero accountability for overselling and over-promising the design elements of our wedding. She told my soon-to-be mother-in-law and then-fiancée that they needed to go over the design elements one by one: seating vignettes, table décor, signage, florals, lighting, and hundreds of other details, to figure out where they could cut costs to be closer to the proposed budget. This was very frustrating because the whole reason we decided to hire a wedding planner was to avoid this level of work-my now-wife's mother works more than full time, and my wife wanted to avoid stress as much as possible. At this point, we were blamed for our vision being over budget, when Rachel should have taken accountability for over-promising. After nickel-and-diming our way through the proposed design concept, we were exhausted fighting for the things we wanted. She also made "budget cuts" without consultation, resulting in choices we would not have made. Ultimately, Rachel got everything to be her way--but this wasn't her wedding, it was ours. We felt pressured to pick the vendors that she wanted us to. In the paperwork before our initial meeting, we had given her a list of OUR preferred vendors, which she seemed to then ignore completely. Once it was time to start hiring vendors, she pushed her vendors onto us. We were sent countless emails with different stylists, bakers, and florists, none of which were included in our list. We were told this was because Rachel didn't have connections with the vendors we selected. Rachel claimed to have the perfect florist for our vision, but when the proposal was presented, the plan required 3 florists! The more we said no, the more pushback we received from Rachel. But if anything went wrong, my fiancée and her mother were blamed, and no accountability was taken by Rachel. At that point, we gave up on the wedding process being a fun, light, exciting time, because any communication with Rachel made us feel unheard or taken advantage of. We were just hoping that the day of the wedding would make up for all we went through to get there. This is my first wedding, so I didn't know 100% what to expect, but after paying for a full-service day-of wedding planner, we at the very least expected her to be there to ensure the wedding day ran smoothly. We expected that she would corral the wedding party, help with minor makeup touch-ups, ensure that all wedding personnel had their flowers, and act as the point of contact for anyone needing assistance on the day of our wedding. Unfortunately, that is not how our wedding day went. In fact, we remember multiple people (party members, family members, vendors, and guests) asking *us* where Rachel was during the day, and she was very difficult to track down. Our photographer ended up filling the role of day-of coordinator: he was with us the whole day, correcting timeline issues or ceremonial details that Rachel had neglected, and making sure that our day ran smoothly. We are grateful to him for making our wedding day feel seamless, but that was not the job we hired him to do. We are very happy to be married, but overall, our experience with Rachel was extremely disappointing. We felt that she consistently pushed her own agenda and prioritized benefitting herself and her business far above creating a perfect wedding day for us, her clients. We hope this review helps Rachel to improve, so that future couples can avoid the negative experiences we had.

I had opportunity to visit at the recent Festa Italiana which the AIHS hosts every year as their major fundraiser. It was spacious, clean, modern, attractive and I really appreciated the large, clean women's restrooms. I did not see the kitchen but I've heard from a good source (one of the members of the AIHS) that's it's wonderful and since they used it to cook all that food for the Festa, they would know!

The building itself is clean and has a neat design and look both inside and out. I could see why this ranks highly as a venue. The lunch buffet is fairly popular and seems to have a regular crowd. They serve Italian and American fare for the same price as Golden Corral. The ingredients seemed decent, the food looks good, but the taste. Oh the taste! Where have you gone! The service is OK, though me and my buddies had weird experiences with one of their bus boys (not really a boy, more like a 60 year man). It was off-putting to say the least. It gets a big, fat Meh from me, at least for the lunch buffet.

I spent a Saturday morning there with a wonderful group of ladies, ranging in age from our 40s to 80s, and with crafting skills spanning from "I've got this" to "help me, please." The staff? Top-notch. Seriously. They were like crafting superheroes--swooping in with paint suggestions and design tips and even taking over when my creative stress levels hit their peak. And they did it all with a smile and words of encouragement. The store itself is a crafter's paradise. If you can dream it, you can probably make it here--flowers, bows, 3D words, endless embellishments. Me? I had my heart set on a Husker door hanger (because, well, priorities), and I pulled it off with the staff's help! We were there for about 2.5 hours and had a reservation for our group of six, which I'd recommend because this place was hopping.
