I remember when I first moved to Bristol I used to regularly pick up The Evening Post as a good read, and in fact I still do. I don't know what it is then that makes the standard of all the shops slide so much. Surely, the shop should be a corner stone in all that is Bristolian and local?
This is seemingly not the case as this is possibly the sixth Evening Post shop that has quite a limited range of stock. As I have noted before, there is little more than sweets, chocolates, beer and fizzy drinks and, for want of more euphemisms, an enormous range of glossy magazines for the less socially inclined gentleman.
Yes, they sell The Evening Post and yes, you can put up whatever advertisements and notices you want to in the window - but come on Evening Post! Pull your socks up! read more
