We hired Jimmie Evans to do our home inspection. Prior to him inspecting our home we had no idea there had ever been a fire. We had no idea that the circuit box wasn't ok. There was a laundry list of items that weren't ok & weren't up to code. This gave us bargaining leverage when it came to buying our home.
He came out & spent 4 hours inspecting the house, taking pictures & detailing everything that he saw. He spent another hour-2 going through his report, showing us absolutely everything that was in the report, explaining what it would take to fix the problems.
There was a dispute with the sellers of our home & Jimmie came back out and spent another 2 hours going over everything with a contractor, & many others. He is precise in his reports & knows exactly what he is talking about.
I would without a doubt hire Jimmie to do any other home inspection that we would/should have.
With most home inspectors your receive your report & then their job is done. I have called on Jimmie many times since the original inspection to have him explain what certain things meant & what to do next. The inspection itself is a lot to comprehend all at once. Our final report was 29 pages including pictures & descriptions with recommendations of what needed to happen.
He was patient, thorough & positive through the whole inspection. You will generally have your inspection report within 24-48 hours.
