All that changed when a friend of mine recommended Maggie @ Atlas to me. Maggie is Deva certified so you can trust that she knows what she's doing with your curls. Honestly, my cut with Maggie was the best and least stressful hair-experience of my life. I've never been able to relax into a cut because I've never trusted someone with my head. Maggie knows exactly what she's doing and I felt confident in letting her be creative. She's also very skilled with clippers! More so than any barber I've been to. I'm SO happy with my cut and will absolutely be back. The studio space is cozy and incredibly cute and inclusive. It's located off the Winooski circle, right behind Scout. The easiest walk from my house. Based on my own experience, the space is queer and trans friendly. Would highly recommend this place to anyone but especially to folks of color and also queer and trans folks who are looking for an inclusive space and creative stylists.
