They took over for Lufthansa and still trying to work out the kinks. Delays, delays , delays. The plane didn't have controlled air conditioning which I didn't really like since it felt warm. Flew euro "best " which was only $350 euro more than the normal seating per person which is totally worth it. Better food, prompt service, larger seating/leg room and open bar. I wish they would update the planes but the service was good where we were and the beers helped with the steep! read more

Eurowings is a horrible, incompetent and callously uncaring airline. We flew them from Athens to Lisbon via Dusseldorf. They misdirected our (and LOTS of other passengers) luggage in Dusseldorf. This was inexcusable. They had plenty of time for the baggage transfer. The flight to Lisbon was actually delayed! When our luggage failed to arrive in Lisbon we were sent to an abusive third party baggage tracking company that could not have cared less about out situation. Eurowings would not be bothered. They ruined our visit to Lisbon by not getting our luggage to us. Communication and support was non-existent. Our luggage finally showed up minutes before our flight home. We will never fly Eurowings again. read more

Disgraceful company: be aware, as they are using the COV-19 Pandemic, to steal money from Passengers. Report them to the EU commission and the relevant authorities. Before COVID I took 115 to 140 flights / year. I have seen pretty much everything and any sort of disservice. The one from Eurowings is one of the worse Eurowings has shown significant flaws in their process and built-in practices in place, aimed at scamming their customers. In the price of my Ticket Dortmund to Brindisi (Basic) a hand luggage was included for free. Immediately after the booking I called EUROWINGS call center, to make sure, this was correct and they confirmed. On the day of the flight, I decided to call the contact center again (Yes, I did not trust them already). After one hour spent in the queue, with no answer, I gave up. Scamming practices At the check in the lady charged me immediately 5€ for checking in there (since when? And where was it written??!!) Nowhere in the whole ticketing system had Eurowings mentioned this, nor did they send a reminder before the flight. Silence Ignorance Traps customer defrauded After collecting the 5€, the lady asked me to pay additional 40 Euros for the luggage, to which I exploded. I knew, something was being hidden by Eurowings through the whole process. I argued that this was free in my Basic ticket. She pointed at my small (see photos), saying that was my hand luggage (measures 10 cm x 10 cmx1 cm, so this slides anywhere, including the hand luggage). As this sleeve being converted into a hand luggage, the trolley became a second luggage, so I had to pay additional 40€ (half the ticket price), if I wanted to fly. I asked to speak to a manager, which obviously does not exist. She said to contact the complaint department online. I reached to them and I got evasive copy and paste emails, so I decided to report them for illegal practices to the EU Commission. Do the same if this happens to you I requested an official apology by the company and the Kai advisor on Facebook who avoided to answer, as well as Michelle Polzin and Laura Piccolomo from the customer service, who tried to shut me down with a useless, time wasting Emails. Disgraceful, stay away and report them as soon as they scam you. read more

Most prejudice airline ever!! Mean spirited flight attendants!!! Having a satisfied face for being mean to their customers!!! I call that stupid!!! Good pilots!! I can't even describe, how mean this girls were!!! All of them!! We had an international flight from Thessaloníki Greece to Los Angeles Stopping in Munich They give us a quarter of a sandwich ( not happy to do that) And a half cup of coke!! My Hausband want it a little more coke ! They refused & said we had to pay 3 euro... for half cup Bad experience!! Euro wings get your act together!!!! Kindness is the new cool!!! I never got a sooo bad Service from a Airlines Company, how my Experience at Eurowings at the Düsseldorf Airport. 1. I can take it my Handpackage 2. At the Boarding I have to pay 35 € for 1.1/2 Kilowatt 3. How the employees a talk with the client is like they are talk to Animals 4. Never again! Being a Lufthansa loyalty customer I wasn't very happy to know that Eurowings and Germanwings would take over many routes from Lufthansa. Especially at smaller German airports like Dusseldorf they have taken over many domestic and European routes. Today I flew to Berlin Tegel and was really disappointed. It's not about the planes and safety, I trust they're as good as LH. It's all about the service. Lufthansa is criticized for their lack of service, but if you fly Germanwings or Eurowings it's even worse. And they're not cheap, depending on Route and date you may up spending more than LH. read more

This is by far the worst airline ever to exist. When they are running late because of lack of staff at gate, they blame the airport, the boarder control, and don't apologize for it. Eurowings is low man on the totem pole at Düsseldorf Airport.They truly do not care about their passengers. It was the cattle call from hell...herd of people pushing to get thru to gate area...herd of people pushing to get thru the gate....herd of people pushing to get into the bus, which takes you to a remote location where you climb up stairs to board the no frills Eurowings plane, which of course is not connected to a jet bridge. read more

Absolutely the WORST airline. On September 24, 2018, my flight back to America from Cologne was initially delayed approximately 10 hours, THEN, after flying for 5 hours, we were told that due to the delay, the US borders were closed and would not allow us to land. We then had to TURN AROUND, and fly for 5 more hours back to Cologne. This was my first trip abroad, and at this point, I genuinely questioned my safety on the flight and whether or not I would actually make it home. No passengers were offered drinks, snacks, or a meal. That then totals to a 20.5 hour delay. After arriving back to Cologne, staff told us that the next flight out of Germany to Seattle would be from Frankfurt, which is a two hour train ride from Cologne. By the time I arrived in Frankfurt, the other flight had already taken off. I, and about 15 other passengers from the original flight, had spoken to the help desk of Lufthansa, the owner company of Eurowings, and they told us they cannot any help and told us to go BACK to the Cologne airport to speak to Eurowings. Out of the 15 passengers, only two spoke German, so it was very difficult to communicate and understand what was even happening/going on. I did not have international phone service and two of my children were in other countries, and another was back in America. My family did not know where I was or if I was even alive because Eurowings refused to release any information about the original EW168 flight on September 24th. We then gathered as a group, after over 35 hours of no food or sleep, and had to make the best decision for ourselves to get back home to America. We then consulted with a different airline and only 11 seats were available, therefore, 4 people were left stranded in Frankfurt. I later read that this EXACT scenario happened two days EARLIER for another EW168 flight. Eurowings originally offered no financial support, although stated by EU Regulation 261/2004, passengers are entitled to up to €600 in compensation when their flight lands at their destination more than three hours late. It was over 48 hours until I was able to land back in America and Eurowings has had my bank statements ever since, and have yet to offer any compensation. It has now been over three months since this situation, and I STILL have not received any financial compensation for my time, and safety concerns. Not to mention, their customer service is ONLY available over email and cannot be contacted over the phone. This should NOT be a company as I questioned my safety for two days straight. read more

As an Emerald member with the oneworld alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. That changed with Royal Jordanian. I paid $140 for two seats that were clearly shown as a two seat row. When my wife and I boarded, we discovered the row actually had three seats. No one pays extra for a middle seat -- ever. My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago. I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Royal Jordanian again!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. I enjoyed my flight from Alicante to Cologne with Eurowings, a German airline owned by Lufthansa. The seats were comfortable, the temperature was just right, and the plane was clean. The rates were inexpensive. The only downside was the long wait during boarding, though I'm not sure if it was the airline's or the airport's fault. The flight was delayed for 20 minutes. Food on board costs 15€, and I must say, the sausage in curry sauce was excellent. However, some menu options were out of stock. Also, cash is not accepted on board. Overall, I think low-cost carriers are now better than regular airlines. I would definitely fly with Eurowings again if they fit my schedule. read more

Hello fellow Yelpers, stay far away from Eurowings. While their discount pricing for international flights is appealing, you get exactly what you pay for. As a frequent international traveler, this was the WORST experience of my life. If you have a complaint, your directed to their customer service email which auto replies with a response that they will respond within 4-6 weeks! Trust the many poor reviews you will find online to be true... too many bad things to list, just stay far far away. read more
