Your Texas Patio - Beatiful project in memorial!

Your Texas Patio

(79 reviews)

Spring Branch

From top to bottom, these guys are amazing…read more I'd received a pretty obnoxious quote for a covered patio and kitchen so did a little bit of price shopping. Of the 6 quotes I got, Jacob at Your Texas Patio blew them all away (he beat the obnoxious one by nearly $50,000 for basically the exact same project). I generally don't go for the cheapest option, but after the initial conversations he had me convinced that he knew what he was doing. So, I dove right in. As soon as they had the go ahead, work was underway. Angel led the way on the construction end and was out there every day (often including the weekends) doing everything from tearing out the side of the house to connect the structure, putting down posts, framing the roof, painting, etc. A real construction stud. In no time the project was complete and I'm extremely happy with the finished project (which beat our target date by about 2 weeks). Sure, there were some snags along the way. I had some plumbing issues that needed to be addressed (1960s house with original sewage lines), a sprinkler than was inadvertently damaged and the need to run a gas line from the other side of the house. Jacob fixed anything that needed to be fixed immediately, and if there was something outside the scope of the project he had someone out there for me to consult with on the same day (I couldn't even get my longtime plumber or audio guys out within two weeks). If I had a tweak to design or a minor addition, it was done. If I had questions on the project at 11pm after a few whiskeys or on a weekend at 7am on my way to a soccer game, it was answered. Sure, he looks like a kid, but he knows what he's doing. I'll be using them on my next projects and you probably should, too.

Reach out to "Your Texas Patio" and set an appointment got an automated message with a reminder on…read morethe day of the appointment. The meeting went well and the person that showed up at my house was nice and polite. The problem was that I felt as if I had to chase the person in order to get my bid. They stated that they had to go out of town and I would get the bid when they returned. So I received the bid 7 days after my appointment and 5 days after all the other bids. The price of the concrete was a fair price but I decided to go with another company because of the time frame I needed. Perhaps next project I can use this company.

Pavertime - Finished entry patio

Pavertime

We chose Pavertime, because we needed a walk way made for our house and wanted to use pavers…read more Pavertime had good reviews and our initial interactions with the company's representative, Richard, were also great. He was very responsive, on time even arriving early, and answered all our questions thoroughly. Additionally, he had a good sense of what looked "good" and would advise us, since this is our first time making a walkway for our house. Throughout the project, we had consistent contact with Richard, eventually working with supervisor and owner of the company, Bryan. Bryan was also incredibly professional, kind and addressed all our concerns and made sure the final product was to our exact desire/requests (and there were many). Our experience with Pavertime was really great -- very client centered with great professional guidance and careful craftsmanship. They really stand by their work and keep their word, which is so important and can be hard to come by. We have received many compliments on their work and feel more than satisfied their work quality and ethics.

Writing a review here since my Google one was deleted…read more Giving 2 stars simply because they called and apologized on behalf of Richard who no showed me twice in 2 weeks. First time he got sick but didn't notify me he wasn't coming. I called the company # and they notified me about him being off. He also called and apologized. Understandable, things happen. We scheduled another visit a week later (two times I've taken off of work) and he no showed me again. This time because he had a doctors appointment. Was not notified of this.. Company called and apologized but it was very poor on his behalf as he is representing this company. I appreciate the apologies but I cannot recommend based off of this experience.
