Pictures and proof were given that it was likely that way when picked up the car! I read other reviews about the same thing happening to other people. So if you do rent a car through them... take pictures of EVERYTHING, top to bottom- I was informed by outside tire business that it is likely normal wear ( I have pictures) and that they can blame the customer ( to pay for a new tire) LESSON LEARNED!!

They noted damage to the wheel and that someone had tried a repair. Called branch in London - they said sorry, you need to find a branch for a replacement vehicle. Called around to five locations and finally found one. Got replacement the next day. Luckily my vacation had some slack in it. After returning the replacement vehicle to the Waterloo Location. I was charged for damaged even though I had pictures of the damage. Manager claimed she would help, but no further contact occurred. I have repeated sent emails to the branch manager and still after multiple months no reply. So they kept my 200 pounds. Enterprise US had tried to help, but they are separate from Enterprise UK. I have rented cars all over the world for work and usually have had good experiences with Enterprise - but this branch needs to be avoided at all costs.

    Sep 25-26, 2024 * I reserved a subcompact Economy car…read more(Vauxhall Corsa or similar). Instead, I was given a Nissan SUV with a transmission that hesitated, lunged, and lurched. This made it dangerous when pulling into oncoming traffic or avoiding pedestrians or bicyclists as they whisked by me. * It rained heavily that day, but faulty windshield wipers smeared the window, creating a visual hazard, which caused me much anxiety, especially on the M11 motorway to Cambridge at highway speeds. * The wide-body Nissan was challenging to navigate through central London in heavy traffic, and unbeknownst to me at the time, I inadvertently scraped a metal width-restriction bollard. This left a black paint streak along the lower-left passenger-side door panels, for which I was charged a 250-pound deductible. * Back at the agency, I asked for a different car for the next day, but the only vehicle available was a manual transmission Kia. It had been years since I drove a stick shift, and as an American, never with my left hand, but I had no other choice. The transmission was touchy, and the car stalled about halfway up the parking garage exit ramp. With another car stuck behind me, I felt pressured as the Kia repeatedly stalled before I finally reached the top of the ramp. * Feeling it wouldn't be prudent for me to drive any further in this vehicle, I circled the block and returned the car in front of the agency office. To my surprise, when I got the invoice, I was charged the full second day's fee (rental, insurance, taxes, etc.), although I didn't use the car and had to cancel my travel plans for the day.

The staff on site were…read moregreat and courteous, however, I will not be renting from Budget again for a very long time. This location had to cancel a reservation that was made by my sister and put it under my name. Somewhere between me getting the confirmation email with details of the contract, and turning the vehicle in, my sister received all of the following emails including my personal information and charged that we accrued. I reached out to an agent- Jesus Brito- about the matter on March 7th, who essentially called me a liar and blatantly refused to help me. Finally he gave me the contact for the Data Protection, while refusing my many requests for his superiors information. I asked over 7 times before he finally complied. I reached out to the Data Protection department on April 2nd- i was hastily sent back an email saying that they would do an investigation and let me know of their findings. Let me ask you this: How do you investigate something you don't even know what you're looking for? They didn't ask me what happened, or for my emails of proof that i stated i had- nothing to make me feel like they actually cared about my personal data. Here we are, April 26th and i have heard absolutely nothing from the Data Protection department. NOTHING. I reached out to Mr. Brito's superiors and they will be looking into how poorly his customer service was and my case with him, however they state that they are not in the Data Protection department. Yet again, I am being tossed here and there, JUST LIKE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION. So my words of advise are this: If you value your privacy and your personal information, do not- i repeat- DO NOT rent from Budget or their affiliates. _________________ UPDATE 5/17/19: On April 22nd 2019, I received an email from a customer care representative by the name of Anna Sebok. She assured me that they would use my complaint to better their standards but offered nothing more to help me with my personal information being given out. I have emailed her numerous time explaining that i know it is not her department but we are now nearing TWO MONTHS and their "Data Protection" unit is doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help me. DO NOT trust this company. Just don't. Their customer service is everything other than. Save yourself the heartache and stress. Trying to get this issue resolved is worse than pulling teeth. Even if it means spending a little extra money, avoid this company at ALL costs.
