worst service. company keeps adding fees. Inspect your fees and cars, make sure you know each fee and each nick on the car.

Insurance/Fraud warning !! What a truly awful company Sixt is. Charged extra insurance after…read moreexplaining to Mme Thuet more then once at the desk Lille Station Europe that I didn't need any cover. I even showed her on my booking that I had paid for it. When my credit card was taken I was told I was signing for the deposit but was charged for an insurance. What scam. The staff receives monetary awards for selling insurance. I book dozens of cars a year all over the globe, never have I been so boldly ripped off. Will be taking matters further. It's nothing but fraud. I would stick to Europe car or Avis, Budget or Enterprise ! Also the car I received I was told was an upgrade, maybe as it was Mercedes it is perceived as one, but it was in fact smaller in size to the one I had booked. Virtually a compact. We requested a Nissian Qashqai. A significantly bigger vehicle in size. As there were four of us the Mercedes was in fact a down grade for us. Greatly uncomfortable.

Our family has been absolutely deserted by Hertz. We rented a car from France, lost our car rental…read morekeys in Luxembourg, and our car has been sitting in a parking garage FOR OVER A WEEK. With our stuff in it. Hertz has been an absolute NIGHTMARE. They have left us stranded without a solution for 8 days and counting. We have 4 young children, are in holiday, and have spent all our time on the phone. This has completely ruined our plans and we have lost so much money because of them. They are supposed to either send us duplicate keys or tow it and give us a replacement for a "lost keys" fee of $300. They haven't done either. Every time we are given another number to call. NO ONE WILL HELP US. We travel A LOT and this has been our worst experience yet. For a COMMON mistake!!! Hertz has had the worst customer service we've ever experienced.
