What Moti Mayra Express lacks in stock and value, this place has in spades. "But HOW, B?" I hear you cry "It is so TINY and has 'Papa don't preach' and the bad-C-word graffiti'd on the side of it!" Shhhhh, calm down, dear. Euro News is a little shop of wonders.
Barely big enough to hold two people, this shoebox is crammed from top to bottom with magazines, papers, sweeties and a jolly good selection of smokes. Every now and then, I heard rumoured, they have Vogue cigarettes, which is great for those who like looking classy as they puff away.
The magazine selection here is excellent, I swear I once saw Japanese Elle here, though I might have been mistaken. The newspaper selection is also first rate. They do all the dailies and weekend papers, and no matter how late in the day, they're usually well-stocked.
The service is brill, too, once I was buying the paper, and I wanted some Fruitellas, but was 15p short. The nice man behind the counter waved his hand and said "15p is nothing, it's the weekend!". What a nice man!
So hurrah for Euro News, better than most massive newsies. read more
