This is an absolute gem of a lazy Saturday outing from Columbia. We always find something(s) we need to have. After 11 am, make your way to the basement and behold the welcoming nostalgic setting of the cafe. From quiche to salads to sandwiches, there are many tasty options with quality ingredients. I had the quiche and salad with house made dressing ... my wife had the BLT with pimento cheese and a great sour cream potato salad. We brought an amazing slice of chocolate cake home for our daughter ... scrumptious! Oh, and it's a bottle/can restaurant so you can have your personal preference of the soda you like. Be sure to check out the unique bathroom decor and try the hand salt scrub before returning to shopping. All in all, a great few hours of shopping and lunch.

The store is filled with incredible finds and at great prices. The wonderful lady who rang up our finds was kind enough to give us a personal history of a rare art book from the estate of her former piano teacher. First- what a cute name! Tiny little SC town with a couple of fab antique stores right next to each…read moreother! I found a few items- but my big find was a large crock- I am thinking it was early 1900's- but I had never seen one with a grip handle on one side and a loop "finger" handle on the other. It also had a wonderful blue stripe around the shoulders of the pot. I snagged it as a gift for a fellow potter who is building a new studio and gallery and wants a museum portion representative of the area and the generational potters in the region. Yes- I am a big ole weirdo squatting down to turn giant pots over to look for makers marks or signatures. Turning it around checking all over for any identifying marks. 1800's and 1900's American pottery was largely unsigned, which makes it extremely difficult to track heritage pieces. Anyway- I gave said crock to my friend and she was so delighted! I believe the coffee shop has a separate listing- but that is also a wonderful perk to this shop- coffee and treats on site! And yes, you can take your coffee around the antique shop! Thank you to the lady who carried that huge pot up to the front for me!

Ms. Shirley is very thorough and honest in her business with consumers and anyone that places or decides to have merchandise placed in her store/shop. I had a antique vanity piece that I needed to remove from my home due to space and it needed a liittle refinishing and probably new mirror, but a great piece euither way. Ms. Shirley came and got this piece and said she would place in the shop and will try to sell it for me. Well a couple years later , it sold and she sent a sweet card with my check (and it was a tad more than what I really even thought she could get for it! ) So, it was a nice surprise. She has great pieces in her store and at great values, and I feel is just a genuine and great person to deal with. Recommend 100% 5 stars :)
