NCP Spinningfields
Exceptional and prompt customer service from both call centre staff and staff on site!!!…read more I just wanted to say a huge thank you to a member of staff that helped me today. His name is Pa. I parked at Spinningfields in Manchester and memorised floor 15 when i walked to the lifts. When returning to my car in the afternoon, i couldnt find it. I called the number on the parking ticket and explained i had checked a number of floors above and below where I thought I had parked. The lady advised me to go to the barriers and someone would be with me shortly. Within 5 minutes, Pa arrived and reassured me that it happens alot. He eased my mind to a certain extent and knew that i was in safe hands. He said we would start at the top and work our way down. If for whatever reason, we cant find it; he would then ask for the cctv footage of when i came in and to check if the car had left. It turned out i had actually parked on floor 5 .... not 15. When we found it i felt really stupid, but again; Pa reassured me that its a common thing as it happens all the time. He had also kept me talking whilst we were walking to say that he vaguely remembered seeing my car on his walk araound earlier. This is what kept me going. This again put me at ease, as not only is there cctv, but that told me that they physically check on the vehicles too. His customer service skills were amazing, as was the way he handled the whole situation. He showed determination, dedication and a genuine care in wanting to help me find my car. I really felt Pa deserved recognition for his hard work today. Too many people find the time to complain nowadays but not enough give credit or praise where it's due. Thank you Pa You were absolutely fantastic, so calm, smiley (in a supportive way) positive and proactive. You saved my day! Amy (punto)
Regent Retail Park

Regent Retail Park is a decent no thrills retail park, the retailers here are mainly focused on…read moreessentials, a large Sainsbury's superstore for essentials, and a JD Sports for sportswear, which also includes a gym. Other outlets here include Costa for a coffee, Boots for a chemist/pharmacy, a couple of discount stores, pound shops and a pet store. It is classed as part of Salford, but it is a short walk from the western edge of Manchester city centre, just head straight down Liverpool Road from the Hilton at Beetham Tower. It's fairly easy to follow and find the stores you need here, but for a smaller retail park, this has to be expected. There isn't anything in terms of food options outside the supermarket, but KFC and McDonald's are across the way. It is easy to access as a pedestrian, and for cars, there is a large car park centred around Sainsbury's. 3*
Not exactly a lot I can write about a retail park. It is what it is, a place of convinience with…read morestores you can use for essentials. Although I still avoid one of the stores like the plague, choosing to travel 4 miles to my nearest equivalent, I do use nearly all the other stores several times a week. With Sainsbury's, Boots, Argos, Home Bargains, Sports Direct you pretty much have everything you will ever need in these stores, not to mention the others. So its a good location and a decent selection of stores. My only downside is the layout, featuring two four way roundabouts in quick succession, it can become rather chaotic at times, especially with idiots and the speeds they drive. But all in all its a good place.
NCP - Salford Stanley Street Manchester
One of the newer NCP car parks in Manchester, this car park is located in a pretty stunning…read morebuilding in the New Bailey area of Salford, on Stanley Street, right by the railway bridge, so many trains, especially those from Manchester Victoria heading towards Bolton/Liverpool etc do pass here. The location isn't right on the door-step of either Salford or Manchester city centres, however, you can miss out a big bulk of the Manchester city centre traffic by parking here, it is only a short 5-10 minute walk from the city centre and it also isn't too far away from the large Sainsbury's store on Regent Road. The Car Park was pretty clean and modern inside and out, the website claims some interesting features - UK's first electric charging spaces for disabled drivers - Over 600 spaces across 8 floors - Latest ANPR technology (Recognises your number plate/registration) Parking is really expensive however especially as a one-off visitor, it is cheaper to pay via the app, but even that works out around £3 per hour, there are some rates if you stay for a long time for example after 6 hours you're charged the full 24-hour rate of £21. The cheapest time to park is on a weekend, if you park after 9 am and return before 5 pm, you'll only pay £6. 3* - Not a bad car-park, some cool and unique features but for me it just isn't worth the added cost, especially considering the location, the traffic can still get bad in the area, meaning I'd rather pay the same to park closer to the city centre, or rely on the public transport network which is well-placed and normally quite efficient in and around Greater Manchester, especially the city centre with the multiple options (Metrolink, Trains, even the bus)

However, this prime parking location means that prices are very high indeed. Between Monday and Friday it's a whopping £8.50 a day. If you park a bit further out and walk, you can get parking as cheaply as a couple of quid a day. On weekends its only a fiver so its not too bad if you're shopping. They offer a few other potentially useful services, such as secure overnight parking for a tenner. Works out cheaper if you pay monthly at £160 quid, but its hardly good!
