Okay, I'm going to blow my cover. I'm a medical marijuana card holder, and I use it. Not a ton... but I do. I'm not condoning or otherwise, just stating my fact. Researching these places are a bit daunting. There is always a few in there with horror stories and reviews that are like... really?? Were you just being a complete tool, or did they do this for real? Well, let's face it, we can all be tools from time to time. It's life. And the very "seedy" industry of marijuana, well... there's no shortage of liars, cheaters, scammers, and just plain bad business operators in spite of the fancy newly painted walls and colorful logos and a massive selection of copy-cat brands with a 1000000% fast acting THC... and the "there-is -no-way-in-hell-that-has-been-tested-and-certified"... or even remotely true. Gummies? Let's not start on that inconsistent BS-ery. Okay, back to this place: Friendly, polite, clean, affordable. And I'd argue another awesome pro was: The female budtender I had waiting on me. She seemed to know her stuff and didn't try to tell me that some of the things are truth or fact or "I use it all the time" kind of stuff. She seemed to show actual humility, refrain from BS-ery, and used some actual knowledge! You felt welcome, she answered questions, she made suggestions, she read labels... awesome. An "I don't know" is always the best answer, when you don't know. And let's face it, we know a lot less that we think we do. She came across as friendly, helpful, honest and... well that's it I guess. And that's all she needed to be and she did it very well! I was very happy with my purchase and my short visit. I'd recommend this dispensary for sure. No big bells or whistles, just your friendly neighborhood marijuana dispensary that carries some vegan edibles... Still not too sold on those. They're all sugar and syrup. Inconsistent too. Often a very long wait for the very little effect or unexpected effect. Another story... okay. This place as far as dispensaries go, it's been my favorite, but I'm not walking into every single shop on the corner either. Research is vital and a painstaking task. Love the staff here they are beyond helpful and know their product which is rare to find now days! 8ths start anywhere from 15$ to 50$ max and that's with all taxes! I was surprised when told the price of something was 50$ as I was calculating the taxes and when Irena went to ring me up I actually paid 50$ out the door! The bud tender George is also a very cool dude that breaks things down and has great recommendations! You can't go wrong with anyone that works here as they really are educated on every item in their store. REVIEW FROM CANNABIS FIRST-TIMER(ish) - I had the best experience at Euphoric Caregivers. I'm pretty much "new" to all things cannabis-- took some hits of other people's weed at parties in my youth but that's it. I'm a very dorky, 42 yr old mom who prob looks like she would protest weed shops in her neighborhood. I walked into EC by myself and asked if someone could talk to me about gummies. I was expecting to be intimidated and embarrassed. But instead, the guy at the counter (I think his name was George) went above and beyond. He gave me a great lesson on the types of cannabis and how they make you feel. He explained several different products and how much and when to take them. He patiently answered all of my 800 questions. He even gave suggestions for my 75 yr old dad who can barely walk due to pain. Very safe - you wait in the outside waiting room before they call you in to ensure privacy and make sure the actual store room is not crowded. The lady was very knowledgeable and helped me choose something to aid in sleep. Unfortunately folks this business went from a 4 star review to a -1 star!! This place has been amazing to me for the past several years until recently. A few weeks ago I went into the shop where I was one of two customers. One customer was finished being helped on the inside and I was just entering! This is a family owned business and 3 sisters run the shop!! One of the sisters was sitting at the front on her phone talking about personal matters and I kindly asked the security guard how long it would be until I got helped and he said a few minutes. Well let me tell y'all something that few minutes was more like 15 minutes. I didn't mind waiting but it would have been nice to be told something. The point is that the sister went out of her way to press mute on her personal call and SCREAM at me saying, "Jess, I've been waiting on this call all day, you can wait!" This set me off!! I said, "Well check this out I'm a paying customer and if you were so busy with an important personal call you should have removed yourself from the front of the store and had someone else helping customers." I was extremely taken back by this behavior and felt extremely disgusted, disrespected and belittled. I will NEVER go back there again!! Why should I spend my hard earned money at a place where the disrespect was over the top. Makes me so sad that one bad apple has ruined it for me. They've been around for 13 years - back in the good ol days of medical cards, much fairer pricing, and none of the cutesy branding crap, just good, inexpensive weed. This is one of the best places I've been to. Besides the fact that there's always street parking, I find the service impeccable. The ladies always have the highest quality of flower, oil, pens, etc. They also always seem to be at the forefront of what is new (for example, they had this new vape pen called Think High which is smaller than all other pens but holds twice as much oil and they are the only store according to Weed Maps in Los Angeles to sell it). They have the absolute best service; the girls are so sweet and never once made me feel silly for asking the million questions about every different kind of Pax pod I had (ex. they took the time to fully explain each and every type and what kind of high it would give and directed me towards specific ones when I told them what I was looking for). I live out of state so they are BEYOND accommodating for my bulk orders, even giving me tips of when to come to ensure I can get everything I need and throwing in an extra pod for me to try something different!!! The girls also took the time to remember who I was from an earlier visit, which made me feel all the more comfortable at their shop and not like I was just another customer. So, to preface this is my first review of anything on yelp. That's how much I enjoyed my visit. First, such a welcoming environment. The security guard was super friendly and helpful. Sometimes I get a bit nervous going to a dispo because I don't know the protocol (new here to La), and most places I go to the security guard looks ready to shoot you (with a tazer) and the check in being super awkward. A welcoming entrance, a welcoming security guard and the front desk or owner(?) super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable*** and very relaxed. Felt like I've been going here my whole life. Oh and not to mention the quality. All I got was a pre-rolled as I was just passing through the area and needed...a little something for when I got home, not while driving...and it was superb. I came in with complaints of deep knee pain following my recent knee surgery, a total knee replacement, two weeks ago. I was given prescriptions for oxycodone and tramadol for pain, but I was hoping for something more natural; to ease my nocturnal deep ache in the knee; plus I couldn't sleep. I asked for something to help with the night pain and to maybe help me sleep better but without a huge pot buzz. I'm not looking for that, just for some relief. I stopped in tonight for the first time, and really loved the vibe of this shop. It's personal and friendly, different from other more... apathetic places in the area. I don't medicate that often, and when I do, I just go for CBD edibles and tinctures. They had an excellent selection of CBD edibles, with all the ones I like and trust with a few more I hadn't seen before. They also had items with a nice 5:1 CBD:THC ratio that isn't easy to find. Usually places have either 1:1 (too stoney for my old ass) or like 14:1, which does well for pain and anxiety, but I do like a little head buzz. 5:1 hits the sweet spot. I like that the retail space is small - you might wait in the lobby for a minute but it makes your time shopping more chill and personal. No pressure sales. Super friendly. Good location. Even though I live in Venice/Marina Del Rey and am literally surrounded by dispensaries, I choose to make the trek here because everyone is so warm and welcoming here.
