I was skeptical, but made the appointment. That was over 5 years ago. From the beginning, Dr. Heather put me at ease. She showed me that the back wasn't the only thing chiropractors treated. She's worked wonders on my sinuses and even my bad feet(and, of course, my back). Since I see her every week I've not only become close with Dr. Heather but with her whole family. Her office is attached to her house, so her hours are super flexible. I'm notorious for rescheduling appointments and when I call she and her staff never give me a problem. While I understand that no provider can guarantee insurance payment, patients rely on the information given to them when making care decisions. If I had been clearly informed that coverage would not be approved, I would not have continued services. When I raised this concern, I was referred to the standard paperwork stating services "may not be covered" and directed to address the issue with my insurance company. I have canceled all future appointments. I recommend that patients independently confirm coverage with their insurance provider in writing before continuing treatment, even if the office indicates that billing issues will be resolved.
