My initial evaluation lasted less than 30 minutes, and I left feeling unheard and not properly evaluated. I eventually had to go to another clinic to get the help I needed. I thought perhaps my experience was specific to one provider, but when my husband had his initial psych eval appointment, his visit lasted only about 10 minutes. That made it feel more like a pattern than an isolated issue.
