YES PLEASE sign me up for my desired surgery because he was so realistic with my goals, he ACTUALLY listened when I spoke, he even called a general surgeon to confirm something that is outside of the surgery I was there to enquire about to be sure he was giving me accurate information. It was like talking to a friend instead of a Dr. Dr Pope had ZERO arrogance - just knowledge to share with me. I went into the office slightly on guard after a bad experience at Dr Sotos office for a consultation. This appointment was everything a consultation should be. It was $100 to book which is fine for me. I'd be personally scared of any dr doing "free" elective consultations - when you're that good - you know you're value. Kelly was the one to go over pricing and the process at the end. She's very thorough and pleasant to speak with. A fabulous experience! A member of my family recently spent an extended period at AdventHealth. There were individual…read morenurses, therapists and other staff members who provided excellent and compassionate care, and they deserve recognition. Unfortunately, the overall experience left me with serious concerns about how AdventHealth manages complex patients. Care was fragmented across multiple specialties, with inconsistent communication and no clear sense that anyone was responsible for pulling the entire clinical picture together. Too often, the family became the coordinator, connecting information between physicians, following up on tests and trying to reconcile conflicting explanations. We also encountered significant barriers when attempting to obtain an outside medical opinion, including incorrect information about releasing medical records and a process that required the family to navigate departments, policies and credentialing issues largely on our own. Most concerning was discharge planning. It moved forward while significant ongoing health issues still required clear plans for pain management, blood pressure, dialysis, bowel problems, respiratory issues and follow-up care. The family repeatedly questioned whether there was a comprehensive plan for managing these issues once the patient left the hospital. Good people work at AdventHealth. That is not the same thing as having a healthcare system that works well. For a hospital caring for seriously ill patients, communication, coordination, accountability and continuity of care should not depend on how persistent the patient's family is.

The overall standard of care that I've received has always been pretty good. I've never really had a bad experience. My mother has also come to this facility (as I believe so has my brother). We've all really had good experiences here. I went in last week for a quick consult before a routine endoscopy that I'll be receiving later this month. The doctor was kind, patient, and explained everything thoroughly to me. She went over my expectations/tasks as a patient to prepare for the endoscopy. I felt seen and heard. I left the office very confident that I would be in trusted hands. As far as the facility itself goes, it is a bit more outdated in comparison to some newer facilities; however, for the most part, it has a decent amount of seating. It is usually ALWAYS packed / busy. So, parking can get a little full; however, there is on-street parking all around. The facility is as clean as one can expect of any facility, really. All in all, I definitely appreciate the care I've received here and will continue to go here for any of my GI needs.

Although I had to wait a bit so he could see he scheduled appointments first I did not mind at all. I was taken to get my X-rays and Dr. Davenport quickly discussed my results with me. I had a slight alignment problem with my finger but he said we could try to avoid surgery by trying a splint even though I would probably still need surgery. I am happy to say that at today's one week follow up I do not need surgery! Dr. Davenport and his staff are incredibly professional, caring, and knowledgeable. There was NO ONE waiting. As I sat, and time passed, more and more people showed up and were taken back to see the doctor while I continued to wait. Now it's 2:00, 2:15, and finally 2:30 before I was brought back. Finally, right? No, not so fast. I was just sent to a holding room where I sat for almost another hour. I am fuming at this point. So, it's now somewhere between 3:00 and 3:30 before the doctor comes in. All I wanted to do was leave, but I waited this long and already knew my diagnosis and treatment options (Cortisone shot or surgery), so I vowed to get my shot and never come back. The doctor confirmed my diagnosis and treatment options, I got my shot and did not return for my follow up appointment 2 weeks later. My problem still had not improved during that 2 weeks, but I am happy to report that it has since. I will not be returning, for anything.

I scheduled a consultation for laser facial services several months ago with Dr.Soto. I was told at…read morethe time of booking, they required a 150$ deposit in the event I was a no show and it would be rolled over into any service that I scheduled. I was never told that in the event I was not a candidate for the laser or if I decided to not proceed with services, that this was non refundable. I showed up on time for my appt with no issues. I was provided a treatment plan and told I had a 6 month window to book. I decided to wait until after the summer to proceed with any sort of laser tx due to the sun etc. Shortly after my consultation, I started having some medical issues that required further testing. After MANY appointments with my primary care provider ( and specialists) , they did not feel I should be proceeding with the laser services at this time - or at least until I had further testing completed and they were comfortable clearing me. I reached out to the office and let them know about this issue. When it became apparent I may not be able to book within their " 6 month window" I reached out again and requested my 150$ deposit back so I did not loose it. At this point the office told me it was not a " deposit " but rather a consultation fee for the 1st appt . I have both text messages from the time of booking and paperwork that never states this - in fact it listed it as a deposit for my initial appt. I truly feel this should have been disclosed at the time of booking. Not once did anyone attempt to have any sort of resolution - I was never offered to have the deposit roll over past 6 months even if the procedure quote increased.Basically I wasted 150$ with this office . I received one response from Kellie and my other two emails went ignored. I am writing this review so that other patients can just be clear on the fact that if anything happens ( not a candidate , medical issues etc ) , you will lose your money that you put down for the inital visit. Had I known upfront about this , I would not have been as upset, however there was varying information provided to me and I feel they did not disclose their policies correctly. I recieved a response from my Google review and was appalled at their accusation of bullying. I will show how they responded 1- I am attaching a picture of the email I sent. I absolutely never bullied anyone. I was respectful and cordial with my email communication. 2. They mentioned investigating the information I was told but then also state later on "if I was even a visitor at the practice ". Had they actually looked into it , that information was earlier verified- I was there on July 9th. 3. They state they never told me it was a deposit - attaching a copy of my paperwork provider when it clearly states it was a deposit for the consultation appt. The lack of transparency and blatant dishonesty is enough to make me recommend steering clear of this practice.
