If you parked at Minnie Jones , the venue has golf carts to take you back to the parking lot and both the lot and the ride is free.

I ordered an apple pie alcoholic seltzer and I think it's the best seltzer I've ever had. I wish I could recall the brand and order more! We got 2nd row seats behind home plate for around $15 which was awesome. They have the option to order food right to your seat which is nice if you don't want to miss any of the game - although it is minor league ball so you're not missing too much. I've been to so many baseball games growing up with my dad that I am pretty used to seeing them so there was not too much special with this one in particular. It is a relaxing way to end an evening if you're here on vacation as a "tourist" yourself!

If you need a kid's playground desperately. There is one…read more Careful!!! The padding is deceiving, it's a thin layer over a poured cement floor. So if your kid falls, it might be a hospital ride. Our daughter was on the monkey bars and fell right on her butt and we thought she broke her tail bone or compressed her spine. I've never seen her in such immobile agony. We will not go back. Skate park is great for kids that skate. The rest isn't that nice or pretty, we are playground junkies and take our kids everywhere. This is the worst one in western North Carolina that we have been to.

Walton Street Park has a really nice looking pool (well, the water's not great right now as the…read morepark is closed for the season) but there is also a fenced in full-court basketball court and a large baseball field with a backstop. The playground set is large with a climbing frame and ramps. Very large picnic shelter with ten picnic tables and barbecue grills. The park is clean and in very good condition. There's plenty of open space at this park for an event like this, and it was very well organized with a lot of helpful volunteers. There were many bounce houses that were separated between toddler and older kids, which I appreciated. The Easter egg drops themselves (from a helicopter!) were also organized by age (by giving the children different color wrist bands) and all of the drops were on different baseball fields at different times. The only thing that was a bit chaotic was the bottleneck in the one tiny gateway to leave the field after the egg drop. Overall, it was a fun experience and one we would consider repeating.

The ballpark is over 20 years old, but looks very modern with open concourses and plenty of concession stands. There's even a Green Monster in left field to replicate Fenway Park in Boston. Unlike other ballparks, there is no seating beyond the outfield for fans to catch home run balls. Not sure if all minor league ballparks are doing this, but the netting is extended the full length of the outfield, severely limited chances for fans to get any foul balls. Prices for some of the concessions are highly reasonable compared to other ballparks, but the food I tried really wasn't of good quality. The game I had tickets to got rained out, but it was fairly easy to get a replacement ticket for the doubleheader the following day. They had a special Marvel superheroes day for the game attended against the Asheville Tourists, so players wore Captain America jerseys and costumed characters were in the stands to take pictures and participate in promotions. They also gave away a special X-Men comic book. The team store was quite overpriced without any budget merchandise options, but it's a trend I've been seeing at quite a few minor league ballparks. Overall, it was a fun day out at the ballpark, so if you like baseball, I'd recommend a Greenville Drive game at Fluor Field.

Beautiful park with something for everyone…read more We had a great time here with our toddler. I especially enjoyed the stroller friendly path most of which was paved. The path also went down by the river allowing easy access for us to walk down and watch my son throw rocks and enjoy the shallow water. The playground is very nice and well maintained. There are toddler swings and big kid swings. Lots of opportunities to climb and slide. Picnic tables are available throughout the park. If you walk along the path a bit there are some right by the water. Men's and women's restrooms in the baseball center and lots of easy parking.

I have friends that have plots and speak highly of this place. Came here today for a run. Connects well with Montreat college campus. Very safe and great trails-one main one through the park but tons nearby. Busy but not overwhelming- there were a lot of families and individuals here. There are tables and plenty of green space. Loving that water and can't wait to see it in summer! Disc golf here too. Nice parking and plenty of space for all.
