I contacted a number of contractors to inquire about repairing the concrete floor in the basement…read moreof my 80-yr old home in Portland. Jamie from Custom Concrete of Maine was definitely the right person for the job. He replied to my online inquiry and came to the house to check out the project within 24 hrs. He gave me a detailed cost estimate before he even left the house. The next day, he worked a 10+ hr day and completed the project. He communicated clearly with me about the extent of the work; he told me when to expect him at the house; and he gave me project updates along the way. Based on my experience with other concrete contractors in the area, Jamie's rates are very reasonable. In the end I was happy with the repaired floor. He's one of the good ones and I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again!

Offered options for how the stone could be finished and created a lovely custom farm sink. The price was reasonable and workmanship during fabrication was artistically designed with attention to the flow of the figuring in the stone and in the room. The installation was per the GCs requested dates and went off without a hitch. I would choose to work with them again and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Connie spent the time necessary with my wife/designer to understand the color scheme and help select a couple remnants that might work. Other shops were only interested in selling a much larger minimum quantity. There is a good reason for that of course, because once the shop cuts a piece they are stuck with the left over. The difference Mark and Connie made was willingness to take the time for a smaller order and cull through their remnents. We were lucky in that there was a really great peice available. It wasn't what we started looking for but that is where the time Connie put in to understand the color scheme paid off; the piece available works perfectly with the natural custom ash cabinets and the tile we selected. Mark and Connie communicated all throught the process. Of course everyone wants to be first in line. Mark and Connie kept to all of their appointments and didn't slip any dates. At the end, the install went without a hitch, and the vanity top came out fantastic. Not only are Mark and Connie a delight to interact and work with, we feel like we got top notch service and an excellant value. I couldn't recommend them any more strongly if you are in the market for stone surfaces.

Matt was absolutely incredible, he went above and beyond to meet our tough timeline. He even did special things to ensure our floor would last and we were set up for success! He cut out door down so our floor wouldn't get scuffed in the future and evened out wood on the transition between what we were working on and our new tile so we could finish the transition and put the threshold in! We gave him a fun challenge of 3 different kinds of wood and he made them all match! The dreaded orange color we hated is gone and we love our new floors!
