There are a few seats inside (mostly all taken...) as well as some more outside during the warm season - it's a pleasure to eat dinner here outside on warm spring evenings after my classes. I find it interesting that they usually don't expect you to pay right away - they want you to first enjoy the meal and then come back to pay. One of the guys told me that it's because in case I didn't like it I wouldn't have to pay. I'm not really sure if he meant it but they really do care whether you like their food. I think they simply want to make it seem more like a restaurant where you pay at the end and also I believe it is important for them to have the connection to their customers and ask whether everything was OK.

The staff are super friendly, and welcomed me with true Iranian hospitality. This place is super authentic, and a favorite of the local diaspora. A family nearby me was celebrating a birthday, singing tavalodet mobarak to a sweet little boy who was grinning at his huge chocolate cake. The place is polished and beautiful, but grounded in its permanence. I ordered kabob and doogh, and they were both absolutely delicious.
