I purchased a 2018 Jeep Wrangler from this dealership in April 2022. Unfortunately, after driving it for less than a month, the transmission went out while I was on the way to work. While installing the new transmission, the mechanic noticed that the catalytic converter and the brackets and bolts that hold it together were so rusted that they had to be replaced. Luckily, I purchased the extended warranty, but this only covered the transmission cost because the other part is an emissions component. I'm not a "car guy," but one would think when a dealership sells you a vehicle, and they swear by the "120-point comprehensive car inspection", this means there aren't any undiagnosed mechanical problems. Wrong. As in this case, it may take a few weeks before the vehicle ultimately falls apart. I've called this place and emailed numerous times, but they do not respond. I am only asking for the cost of the part that was not covered under warranty, not the $7100 transmission or the $6000 they robbed from me as a down payment. Buyers and Veterans Beware! read more

I was given the 1st page of a correct Car Fax report and the subsequent pages were from a different VIN number. When I bought the car they said they would fix the fender for free of charge. They also said I would have to leave my vehicle up there for 3 days for it to get fixed. My vehicle was up there for a week and 4 days and when I got the car back, all they did was use tape and superglue to attach my bumper back to my fender. I've tried to purchase a vehicle twice and both times they offered less than half the nada value on my trade in. The saleperson both times were great. The finance team is problem. The last time they told my vehicle had an oil and a coolant leak and the engine was about to blow up. They supposedly refilled the coolant to be nice but that was a lie. When we bought it though, we noticed the front towing cap was missing and we requested they replace it before we purchase. They agreed and wrote it into our contract telling us they would order the part right away and overnight it to us. A few weeks passed and we never received it so we called our salesman, Charles, to ask about it. He said he would order it and send it right away. Over the last few months my husband has called at least once a month (if not more) and always gets the same answer "it should be arriving soon" and yet we still have not received the part. I paid cash and bought my 2016 Chevy Suburban about 2 months ago. The first thing the salesman lied to me about was telling me that the dvd players were covered under the warranty i purchased. Turns out the front dvd player doesn't turn on. I should have checked it, but who carry's dvds with them. They did follow through with fixing the armrest and the rear defrost but only because it was written on paper. I asked the salesman if they would give me a loaner vehicle if i ever had issues and it needed to be in the shop. I explained to him that i am a single mom of 6 kids and that i needed that reassurance. He agreed verbally. I took it to service because I kept getting alerts about the trailer brake. It would ding at me randomly, so of course when i took it to them, they didn't find anything. I left it with them for a day and a half for the mechanic to tell me "you must be hitting the button with your knee when you're getting in and out of the vehicle." Now they are telling me i need to leave it with them for 5 days so that the mechanic can run a computer diagnostic that should have been done the first time i brought it in. The lady at the warranty company told me that it should not take that long and confirmed that if there was something wrong that wasn't covered under the warranty, I would have to pay them labor. But the diagnostic should take 1 day. Not 5. There's no reason somebody should have to deal with this many issues when the vehicle was only bought 2 months ago. read more

On April 20, 2022 bought an Audi 2016 Q3 over $26k for my daughter graduating high school and going to college. I understand I bought "as is" but I did get the warranty. By June I had put over 4 quarts of oil in it because it was burning constantly. Ethan Hunt had it for a couple days and said they couldn't find the leak. Keep in mind it's not leaking, it burning oil. Ms Tammy told me that's just what Audis do - meaning they leak/burn oil like this. I took the car back and scheduled an appointment with the Audi dealer to ultimately diagnose and repair the actually problem. Unfortunately, the earliest they have available would be August 11th. July 28th my daughter calls and says the car won't start. I drive out to get her and sure enough the car won't start. I have it towed to Ethan Hunt. They replaced one fuel pump with the warranty service then informed me they didn't know the car had two and they had to order the second one now because it was bad also. Me it's awful strange that both fuel pumps would go out at the same time. And a little disheartening that the mechanic working on the car didn't know it had two. August the 8th, the car is repaired. My daughter and I arrive shortly before they closed for the day and pay the difference not covered by the warranty and she drives off. By 7:30 PM that same day (August 8th) she calls me and tells me her car won't start. I get out there and sure enough it's doing the same thing when I originally had it towed on July 28th. I had the car in our possession about 2 and a half hours before it was broke down again. This time I had it towed to the Audi dealer because of the appointment it had on August 11th I had been waiting on since June. Once the Audi diagnosed the car (August 22nd) they determined that at least one fuel pump was bad and the warranty wouldn't pay for them to repair it again. I would have to get it back to the people that installed it last or pay out of pocket. I immediately called and spoke with Ms Tammy. Ms Tammy was suppose to arrange for a tow truck to pick the car up (August 23rd) and have it brought back to Ethan Hunt. Finally on August 26th the car makes it's way back to Ethan Hunt. They eventually look at the car the following week and tell me that both fuel pumps are bad and have to be replaced again. This doesn't seem strange to anyone at Ethan Hunt that both original fuel pumps went out at the same time and now both brand new fuel pumps have gone out literally after a couple of hours of use. They replace them again and call me to get the car on September 16th. I get there late in the day and they hand me the key. I go outside and I kid you not. The car won't start. They send the mechanic out to the parking lot and he says "Oh yeah, forgot you need a battery". I guess they didn't expect me to drive it home. The mechanic jump starts the car. I'm already there and I'm fed up with the lies and poor service. The mechanic says you should be able to drive home and you can take it to like an AutoZone and have them replace the battery. On my way home the car shuts off and won't start again. I replace the battery and the car still won't start. I had it towed back to Ethan Hunt because it appears that it is not getting fuel to the engine. Their customer service attitude and overall knowledge of fixing cars is poor. I'm merely trying to get pass this fuel pump issue so I can get it to the Audi dealer so they can ultimately fix the oil burning and I can finally get rid of this car. Ethan Hunt can't get the car to run long enough apparently for me to even get it to the dealer or home. Since July 28th, I have had the keys to the car for a few hours and today is Sept 19th. It's been sitting at Ethan Hunt or the Audi dealer most of the time between July 28 and now. I have called to check on the status of the car. I can't get a return phone call. Today is September 24th. The car has been there for week since I lasted towed it. I drove by the place tonight and it appears to be sitting in the exact same spot the tow truck dropped it off on September 16th. read more

I went to test drive 2 SUV's that I have been eyeing for over a week now. The 1st one wasn't the one I was most interested in. But the dealership got irritated at me because I wouldn't allow her to prequalify me. I told her I didn't want a bunch of phone calls. Also at some point I did mention I would be paying cash. I told her I would be buying within the next 2-3 weeks. Anyway she goes and gets keys. We get in and she tells me it's low on gas because they don't keep a lot of gas because of theft. She proceeds to tell me to take the side road because of traffic on Schillinger Rd. I say alright. I start the SUV and it starts dinging because it is so low on gas. The gage was in the lower part of red. I turn onto the side rd. and it is maybe a football field long and dead ends into a business. So not even a test drive. When we go back to the dealership and get out of the SUV, the other one I was interested in she said someone is coming for that one today. So no sense in testing it. But yet she brought out the keys for that one also. Needless to say they lost me as a customer. read more

I was experiencing complications with my battery, causing my car not to start. So, since I have an extended warranty through the company, I decided to take it in to get serviced. Mind you I dropped my car off on Tuesday morning and received no word until I had to call them myself (Friday morning) to have them tell me "we may be able to start working on it Saturday". Good selection of cars with great financing options. Had trouble with O2 sensors that dealer should have found with a simple scan and fixed before putting up for sale. Ethan took care of most of the cost, but we still paid $200 for the repair. My bad for trusting the car was checked out as advertised, and not having my mechanic around the corner check it over before taking delivery. If you go there, ask for Wade. He's not the high pressure type and takes his time to help you find the right car. Overall a good place to buy a car, just have your own mechanic inspect before signing the dotted line. read more

After searching online, I found the car I wanted at Ethan Hunt Automotive. I live about an hour and a half away, so I called ahead to make sure the car was still available. The salesman I spoke to (Isaiah), assured me that the car was there and I could come take a look and test drive it. A couple hours later, I arrived at the lot. Isaiah met me outside and said he didn't have the keys for the car I wanted. Seems to me that's something he should have checked on and notified me about BEFORE I drove an hour and a half to get there, but whatever. He said another customer had accidentally taken them home. Then he asked if he could get the keys in 15 minutes, would that be ok. I was annoyed, but of course I said yes. 30 minutes later, he comes and tells me it's gonna be a while before he can get the keys. I said that's ok, I'll go have some lunch, call me when you get the keys. I spent the better part of the day hanging around Mobile waiting for his call. It never came. I ended up buying a different car elsewhere that same day. This morning I received an email from Isaiah saying he could not get ahold of me and asking if there was anything else he could help me with. First of all, that's bs that he couldn't get ahold of me... I had my ringer on and phone within arms reach all weekend long waiting for his call. I had no missed calls and no messages from him or anyone else at Ethan Hunt Automotive. And second of all, for him to help me with anything else, wouldn't that imply he had helped me with something in the first place? Which he didn't. Here's what I would like to share about our experience at Ethan Hunt Automotive. Our salesperson was Josiah Sanders and he was great! Very helpful, with good attention to detail. Plus he was eager to please, demonstrating good people skills. The approach involved no pressure. In fact, when I first called to inquire about the vehicle that I was interested in, he didn't even ask for my phone number...like too many other dealers do. He merely stated that he'd keep the key on his desk and have the vehicle pulled up front, for my arrival. That impressed me, from the start! My husband and I just bought a GMC Sierra from Ethan Hunt Automotive. Our salesperson, Josiah Sanders, was great to deal with. We really appreciated the fact that he does not use the typical "high pressure" techniques that make buying a vehicle so unpleasant. He was personable, efficient and very helpful. Our experience was a little different than most because the original vehicle we were interested in had already been sold when we got there. Josiah helped us find another similar vehicle that we purchased. The next day, when my husband checked the website again, the original truck was back because the deal had fallen through. My husband contacted them and told them we wanted to return the truck we bought and buy the original vehicle. So we went through the entire process again and were able to get the vehicle we initially wanted. I would give the dealership 4 stars because I felt that the paperwork process took a little too long.
