When I pulled up their front porch was filled with the most delightful array of gifts. I started out Christmas shopping but there were so many things I wanted for myself too. I ended up purchasing several items at a steep discount including a Vera Bradley straw hat for only $5, gorgeous artisan necklaces for family Christmas presents, some Christmas decorations, a gift for a friends upcoming wedding, and finally a few Cat's Meow Village buildings including area landmark buildings, the New River Inn and the Bonnet House, for my collection. I started accidentally collecting them when I purchased a few inexpensively in a vintage sale and now I'm hooked. I especially love the replicas of the buildings I have fallen in love with in Florida (in case you are reading this daughter hint, hint). Inside the store I was dazzled with the array of gifts. The front of the store was beautifully decorated for the holidays and there were several Christmas trees throughout the store. This store carries a huge selection of Vera Bradley, home decor, coastal decor, holiday decorations, jewelry, candles, bath products, pantry items, jams and jellies, and apparel. I loved the lighted holiday snow globes especially the pop up camper one but my all time favorite items were the Spartina Florida purses and wallets. They have a vintage Florida map on them that look like the one on the table clothes that people who visited Florida used to buy in the 50's as souvenirs. I am still hunting one of those table clothes and I adore these handbags. I had never seen these before I am in love. They are pricey so this is going on my someday wish list. If there is one downside to this store it's that there was only one register and the sale generated a lot of customers who were buying many items and the ladies were slow. They are so sweet though and the wait wouldn't have been a big deal if I didn't have to rush off to other appointments. While I waited I snacked on their complimentary doughnut holes and orange juice. I have definitely found my new favorite gift store. I have some difficult people to buy for and I can find something for anyone here, not to mention all the things I personally loved. With the gift giving holiday season upon us, this is the perfect time to discover this store.

Very nice and let us make the decision instead of pushy it on us. He even let us know of a discount he could give us if that was going to be The Table! Although we did not purchase it we made the final decision the next morning before leaving on a trip. I called Justin to see what my options were since we finally made The Go and were leaving the same day. He advised me that I could purchase the table over the phone and they would keep it Very safe for me in the meanwhile. The transaction was very easy over the phone with an email confirmation from Justin showing my receipt and also a quote for delivery. They use a third party/guy that has a truck but for less than a 10 min drive he wanted to charge me $125. A bit pricy for the trip. Once we got back I let Justin know when we would be ready for pick up and he got everything ready for us. Picking up was easy since they have a back loading station and Justin was kind enough to help us load it. We finally found our dining room chairs and will be able to start to use our unique new table soon! I would recommend Island City Traders for any furniture/decor needs! The design consultant who greeted us and was such a pleasure to interact with, Johnny, gave us a tour of the space while he filled us in on the details of the store. The story is originally from Naples, and they recently expanded to open their first showroom on the east coast. So happy they ventured close to us! To my surprise I was informed that they focused on high-end outdoor furniture. In my life have I ever seen such beautiful patio furniture. He explained that they carried some of the best brands from Brown Jordan to Tuucci umbrellas to Vondom, and a few interior design companies that are now doing outdoor like Palechek and Bernhardt. Also, I happy to learn of a company called Pollywood that specialize in patio furniture made of 100% recycled milk jugs. Imagine yourself at home on your deck, backyard, poolside, or high rise balcony with beautiful outdoor furniture! What an awesome way to create a gorgeous outdoor space! This company is a scam...bought 5 EXPENSIVE lanterns with being told I could return two depending…read moreon the sizes I chose. When going to return two, they would not allow it. Shocked...got management involved, they agreed to return two. This was Feb. 2, and to date have not received my credit on my statement. (over 800.00 dollars). They are rude and condescending. When buying the original 5, each one comes with a battery and charging cord in a small plastic bag. I had two lanters with no kit bag attached and asked for them. One of the workers there looked up, rolled his eyes, and said in the snottiest voice ever, "Geez, how many screwdrivers do you need?" My daughter and I were shocked...what if I was buying gifts for people...am I supposed to gift with no charger or appropriate size screwdriver to take off the top? I was so uncomfortable, and just said that I would like to charge them at the same time, to use them adequately. Never mind that I had just spent 2700.00 on lanterns. So now we are fighting over a credit that they have not given, yet they have the returned lanterns. Stay away from this place. Such a joke. They do not care at all about the customer.

Usually the aisles at most Homegoods are is disarray, but surprisingly this one seems well organized, which means they have strong managers and maybe even happy staff.
