Chris greeted my husband and myself and from the get go was very personable and pleasant. He showed the ring to their repair team who said that they could repair it (obviously there is a big difference in cost between resetting and repairing) so i opted to do the less repair and hope that it would look good enough and not noticeable as I love my current setting and they said they could do it. It was blind faith as i had never used them before and didn't know anyone who had. Well, to say that they did an unbelievable job is an understatment. They invited me to watch the master repair team do their job if I wanted to) which was way more involved than I could've imagined it would be. Chris was a gentleman and responsive to all my needs and I would recommend them with 5 stars!

First off, I had to check a few times to be sure that I was reading the reviews of the correct…read moreJeweler... I can't believe the three lukewarm reviews these guys received! Honestly, I can't account for their experiences but I will remind that for the most part people are more apt to post bad experiences on yelp than good ones. That may explain things.. I suppose. That being said: I came to Kravit Jewelers by a recommendation from my brother, who also purchased an engagement ring there years back. He became friendly with the owner, Benny, and advised me to check the place out, and so I did. (It wasn't until recently that my brother reminded me this actually wasn't my first visit to Kravit Jewelers - when I was in my very early 20's I bought a diamond cross necklace for my now-fiancé whom I had just met then - funny/small world!) So this was all new to me. I knew exactly nothing about anything ring-related, like most guys out there. Benny and his associate Val both spent several hours on multiple visits educating my fiancé and myself about the process. In addition, they showed us many stones which helped us decide on the perfect one. There was no hard-sale here like I experienced at another jeweler (who "forgot" what my budget was, and showed us $30K+ stones... come on...). In fact, the first stone my fiancé liked was an amazing deal. However it was I who actually pushed Benny to go a bit more upscale on the stone. When does that ever happen?! No hard-sale here, not one bit. You are your own man and you get to control the situation - I liked that. The setting Suzanne wanted was one she saw online. She knew exactly what she wanted, as most women do, and it was my Benny's job to make sure she got that (gulp). Armed with a cell-phone picture and video of the desired setting, we visited Val once again. He went over materials to be used (and again, didn't up-sell or pretend that Platinum is better or whatever). He basically laid out the pro's and cons of each metal, more like a geologist would rather than a salesman. Again, a big plus. Within the week, Val had a 3D print of the setting for us to see, along with the actual stone we had chosen to match it up with. Suzanne was able to try on the ring before we even had it - amazing. As the weeks passed, our vacation date had been approaching. I had planned on just going away to Florida for a few days, never thinking that I would be done with the seemingly arduous process of ring-shopping, but now it looked very possible that I would have the ring done on time for our trip. Again, Val pulled through, getting the ring done just a day before the trip. He hit it spot-on the first try, with NOTHING that needed work or fixing. I couldn't believe it. Instead of having to trek all over creation to find a stone and setting (or deal with Manhattan diamond district and all of it's annoyances) I was literally going to be done after only having to go check out two places (Kravit for the purchase and a place in Huntington for comparison of what up-selling salespeople can be like). And to top it off, I'd be able to propose on our vacation (after telling Suzanne the ring wouldn't be ready for another few weeks, because it had to be custom made - pretty believable!) So off we went to sunny Florida, me hiding the perfect ring with the best calm and collectiveness I could muster. I took Suzanne flying in a small plane that I rented at a local Clearwater airport, and at 2500 feet over the sandy shores of Clearwater Beach I became the happiest pilot alive. Because Benny delivered an excellent product for a more than reasonable price - and did it when I needed it - and flawlessly, I was able to see through what has easily become the best and most memorable day of my life. Big thanks to Benny, Val, and the rest of the crew at Kravit Jewelers. You can't go wrong here. Don't let the other reviews scare you - I am more than happy with our experience. He really took the pain and uncertainty out of buying a diamond. His stones are GIA certified and he will not let you leave his store without getting an insurance policy for the jewelry (this is very important to have, and I can't understand why some people cheap out on this).

I genuinely cannot say enough good things about my experience here! From the moment I walked in, Eric was welcoming and thorough. He took the time to inspect my necklace and explain what needed to be fixed. I was then brought downstairs, where I got to sit and watch Herman work on my necklace up close on a TV screen. I could see every little detail of the repair as it was happening, which was fascinating! While I was downstairs, Courtney came over and started explaining everything to me. At this point, I felt like I was on a little excursion tour and I was loving every minute of it! She shared how Herman got his start in jewelry repair when he was just 9 years old in Ecuador and how he's spent years perfecting his craft. Watching him work while hearing his story made me appreciate the craftsmanship that much more. My necklace was repaired, cleaned, and polished to absolute perfection. But here's where my experience got even better. While I was downstairs, Diana complimented me on my necklace and the diamond earrings I was wearing. What she didn't know was that those earrings had been driving me CRAZY for the longest time. Because of their size and weight, they would constantly tilt downward instead of sitting beautifully on my ears. It's such a small thing, but when you have beautiful earrings, you actually want people to SEE them! Diana asked what kind of backings I was using. I told her screwbacks, and she smiled and told me to come find her upstairs when I was finished. Well, I did, and she pulled out these jumbo-sized screwbacks and said, "Let's see if these work." She cleaned my earrings, had me try them on with the new backings, and I kid you not, I got emotional LOL. My diamonds were FINALLY sitting upright and looking the way they were supposed to! She jokingly called them the "magic bra" for earrings, which honestly couldn't have been a more accurate description. SOLD! I walked in for a necklace repair and somehow walked out with a problem solved that I hadn't even come in to address. All because Diana was observant enough to notice something and thoughtful enough to offer a solution. That to me is exceptional customer service. Before I left, Eric inspected my necklace one more time and even gave me some helpful advice on how to properly lay and store it to avoid future stretching or breaks. What really stood out to me was how genuinely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful everyone was. Nobody was trying to sell me something I didn't need. They were simply passionate about what they do and took the time to make sure I was happy. I left Gennaro Jewelers absolutely elated. Between Eric, Courtney, Herman, and Diana, what could have been a simple jewelry repair turned into such a memorable experience.

Finally! Welcome to my Pandora charm buying headquarters...Leder's Jewelers…read more Did you know that if you buy Pandora Jewelry on-line from a third party site, you have to pay for the little cardboard box, signature burgundy tissue paper and the sticker? Well, the answer is yes. So I decided to do the smart thing, shop local. I bought my bracelet at another local jewelry store, but was far from WOW-ed there. The employees at Leder's, actually spent time with me. I had an idea of what I wanted, which made it a bit easier. Buying Pandora charms, takes some looking. A patient jeweler, allows you that. Seriously, Leder's Jewelers, had quantity and beyond small business hospitality, during my holiday shopping. I have been here now, several times and each and every time, I am treated with the utmost customer service. It seems everyone and their mom has a Pandora bracelet...and now mine does! I got her the holiday gift box which Leder's had plenty of. It came with a Pandora clasp bracelet, the "Black Friday" present charm and two spacers. It was a great start and a deal all for $200. The sales woman made sure she checked and fitted my mom's wrist. She even personally gift wrapped the box. It was a great experience. Like most jewelry stores, you need to ring a bell to get in. The store itself is long with a view into the back behind the counters to see where the jewelers do their "jeweling." Everything inside shimmers, and shines. The jewelery is set into stations by their designer brand. They offer the newest Pandora Jewelry catalogs on the counter so you can bring it home and start your wish list. If you ask they will clean your bracelet or you can have it steam cleaned for free (which takes an hour.) The time before last, the salesman I had actually suggested similar charms as I pointed to one and said "Can I see that charm?" He also pointed out the newest charms which was cool because sometimes looking down into the sea of silver and gold, they can all start looking alike. I can't wait to go back and get more charms. My wishlist is up to like 10 pages! Time to make a trip to Leder's!

Examples: Replacing battery watches. Whenever I have a battery replaced, Jerry will replace it and say, "no charge, you have lifetime coverage." They mark the inside of the watch that tells them I had purchased a lifetime plan. Of course I don't remember which watches I had done that on. It was over 10 years ago. They are so honest! They have repaired many pieces of my costume jewelry. They have absolutely no value. They do the job as though they were worth millions. I did not know what to do with an old ring that was valuable, but had no use for it. After discussing options with Tony, he transformed it into a beautiful pair of earrings that I wear all the time. I asked Tony to restore a vintage watch that belonged to my grandmother. It was not a simple procedure. It took many months. I was hoping to have it by Christmas, to give to my mom. But it wasn't ready. Although I was disappointed, Tony communicated with me each step of the way. He needed to send the watch out to one of his watchmakers as he could not perform the task in house. He was dependent upon their expertise and their timetable. He would call me every so often to update me on the progress. Although I was frustrated, I understood and appreciated his updates. At one point, he called to tell me that the watch was just about ready. However, he was not satisfied with the final product and asked the watchmaker to redo or alter something. When I finally received the watch, I was astounded by the exquisiteness of the final product. I gave it to my mom on Valentine's Day. She cried at the beauty of her mother's watch. I asked Tony to restore a vintage ring for me. The stone needed to be replaced and updated. A real stone would have cost many thousands of dollars. I then asked about my other options. We discussed imitations, quality and price. I was hoping to have it by my mother's birthday in a few weeks. I gave him a dollar amount that I was willing to spend. He called 10 days later and said my ring was ready for pick up. When I saw the ring, I was blown away. He reviewed the process he went through, finding exactly what I wanted. The cost was 1/3 the price I was willing to spend. Amazing! If you are looking for a jeweler that takes the time and patience to fully understand what it is you want, is trustworthy and does impeccable work...go to CONCORD JEWELERS!
