We enjoyed walking around the mountaintop and taking in all the spectacular views of San Sebastian and the coast. We also enjoyed getting some spritzes at the bar and sipping on them with the ultimate view. Without the rides it's not a place you'll spend too much time, but still worth the visit for the views and a ride on the historic funicular. The signs were plentiful and well set up. I had a public transportation card from Vitoria, which I was able to use in the Bilbao metro and bus system.. All the Basque country networks are now linked so all cities accept each other's transportation cards. The map made it easy for me to find out which direction to take and where to get off. Easy, clean and frequent.

The staff are generally polite, and the atmosphere is calm, which makes the whole experience pleasant. As a slightly less positive point, there can sometimes be a bit of waiting or certain areas may be rather crowded, but it is not something of great importance. It does not usually spoil the journey or the overall impression. It is also worth mentioning that the building is very beautiful and modern, although that is only an additional detail. All in all, it is a practical, pleasant airport and a very good option for travelling.
