In season don't expect any deals. The lot will fill up fast. I have been charged a number of prices. Not consistent. First time here I paid $20.00 US, then $400 pesos , then $200 pesos and occasionally $150.00 pesos. If you do not speak Spanish , you will always pay the higher price. That is the way it is here.
Oh FYI : If you park on thE street in front of the hotels, make sure youu are not on the end. Absolutely make sure you are parked between cars. If you aree on thE end , you will get towed. You can't do anything about it and it will cost you $500.00 or more US if you don't know an official here. The parking lot has nothing to do with this.
I have parked here 15 maybe 20 times and never had a problem with my car's security.
