This is literally a mom and pop station. A lady and her husband run this roadside station which is closed for lunch because it's in an old traditional part of Italy. Was leaving town and it was one of the last chances for fuel before hitting the autostrada. It's so old school they pump the gas for you and you feel like youre in a movie out of the 50s or 60s.
Lady: Buon giorno!
Me: Buon giorno! Posso avere senza piombo?
Lady: Quanti?
Me: Il pieno, per favore
The lady grabs the unleaded pump with authority and fills my tank, even as retro as this place looks, she still had a portable wireless credit card machine with the typical chip and pin. Unfortunately with American credit cards you still have to sign but if you have something like apple or chase pay, it's quick and no pin on the machine and no sig!
Me: grazie mille!
Lady: Ciao ciao!
Me: Arrivaderla!
