Oh the irony: for a bed shop called 'Dreams', this placed turned out to be a total NIGHTMARE!…read more I went shortly after opening time and walked in to find all but one of the staff congregated near the till, lolling on the beds and watching one of the display TVs on a bed. Unfortunately, that was just the start of the whole nightmarish episode.... 1. I gave one of the bed's headboards a wiggle to gauge its sturdy-ness, only to be bellowed at by a young lad by the till saying "Don't worry, it's a solid head board. Don't forget that at home it'll have the wall behind it supporting it" - err... what?! Surely, a decent head board wouldn't need to be supported by a solid wall? 2. After being shown around all of the selection (which was good, I have to admit) and trying out the variety of mattresses, I decided that I would chew over the information at home. Unfortunately, the salesman wasn't happy that I wouldn't tell him which of the ones I'd seen I was interested in and kept saying "but which one did you like" about 3 times. 3. I needed to buy some pillowcases and found a pack of two that were clearly labelled £6.99. I picked up two packs and took them to the till. I tried to pay with cash, but they didn't have any change. I gave them my card only to see that he'd charged me £7 on the hand-written receipt (it wasn't like he'd scanned it and it had come up at £7). He just had decided to charge me more. 4. Whilst I'd been looking around the linen department, I saw a fitted sheet that had a handwritten sale sticker on it saying £12.99. I then noticed that the full price printed sticker under this one read £12. So not only were they trying to pass off items as being reduced, which there weren't. There were also marking-up items from their original price. Both of which are against trading law. If the whole situation hadn't been so awful, I could have imagined that I was on the set of a comedy show like The Office, but set in a bed showroom. Benson's for Beds is right next door, my advice is to go there. We did and we were very happy.

I waited ten days for delivery of bed not bad as ordered over christmas! however then when I came to asemble the bed there were parts missing the parts were ment to be already fitted to the bed frame so that I could fit the loose parts delivered onto the frame myself. I was staight on phone and after waiting nearly 15 mins to speak to someone was assured parts would be dispatched to my store asap I requested (should have been offered) free assembly as a thank you. Called next day to be told parts were on way. Called store manager knew nothing about it,waited 2 days called main office was told wrong parts were ordered and that I would have to wait until in stock and that would be another week and a half. The customer service standard was terrible the waiting time awful and I would never order again from them nor would I recomend them to anyone.

Today I spent ages dealing with rubbish companies that sell crap or send you the wrong thing and…read morethen make it difficult to sort out the problem, so I thought I should talk about my experience with this one to feel better about life. I visited the shop in march to buy a Wallbed. James was very helpful and informative even though I was 20 minutes late and he had someone else to see. Although he showed me a variety of things and possibilities, he didn't try to oversell. In the end, due to contract issues, I couldn't order my bed until october, but he was helpful and remembered who I was, so I didn't have to start from scratch. 2 lovely men came to build the bed, they were helpful, friendly and polite. They did a great job. My bed is fantastic! While I waited for it to arrive, I regretted spending so much money on it, but once I got it, all my regrets were gone. I bought the comfort bed in king size with the shelves at the back and the lamps. The lamps are actually much better than the ones in the catalogue. The first day, I lay on it for 5 minutes and woke up 12 hours later. Another plus I didn't know about, you can move the sofa if you like, so you can use both at the same time if necessary. The quality is excellent, it's very easy to use. Some people ask me if it isn't too much work to close the bed every day, but it doesn't take more time than it would to make a normal bed nicely. (it doesn't have to look perfect as you close it) I chose a firm mattress, but there are other options. I don't know about those, but my mattress is fantastic. I have never before slept more than five hours a night, and usually I would wake up in the middle, but no more!! I sleep eight hours at least a day, I was late for work the first week I had it. The sofa is very comfortable too. I love my bed so much that I will put this review everywhere! Thanks to everyone at the London Wallbed Company

Fantastic! I live in reasonably sized, but not huge two bed flat in Hove, I have a spare bedroom…read morewhich is big enough for a double bed, but not for wardrobes and desks as well, my master bedroom is a good size, but gets overwhelmed if filled with clothes, books and other paraphernalia. I needed to clear my two bedrooms of clutter, and make the spare room useable. I had a brainwave, what about a Murphy bed? I did some internet searching and came up with The London Wall Bed Company. After a brief email and telephone exchange, I went to their showroom in Acton where I met with James. We had a chat during which he skillfully, quickly and efficiently got an idea of my needs and showed me a range of products that would suit them. I left once we'd agreed on the right product which took around an hour, maybe less. Within 24 hours, I had received by email two estimates one for a fold down bed with wardrobes and one without as well as sketches based on the measurements I'd come up with. I thought I might try and reduce the cost by buying ready made wardrobes, but I decided that it would look better and be less hassle if I went for the version with wardrobes. I paid a deposit and arranged for James to come down to Brighton and take actual measurements of the room. The order went in and my wall bed was delivered and fitted about six weeks later. I now have a spare room which I can use as a dressing room, a wardrobe and an office (there's a fold down desk attached to the bed which I can use when the bed's not in use). In fact, what I do is give up my main bedroom when people come to stay and sleep in the Murphy bed myself, it's like being a kid again and means I keep all my stuff in the back bedroom and bathroom and I don't have to keep it too clean and tidy! I now have room for a sofa in my main bedroom which feels very luxurious because before it was full of clothes storage! I love service I got, I love the wardrobes, and I love the bed, I also love the fact that my flat feels bigger and less cluttered. James understood my needs, he wasn't in the slightest bit pushy and he got the job done in the agreed time frame for the agreed price. This is a perfect solution to a problem I've had for 15 years.
