Specialties
What makes Essential Accounting Support different is the way I work with small business owners.
Before I became a bookkeeper, I was a teacher, and that background still shapes how I help clients today. I don’t expect you to know bookkeeping terminology or have perfectly organized records before you call me. My job is to help you get things in order, explain what your numbers are telling you, and make sure you feel comfortable asking questions along the way.
I help with ongoing bookkeeping, QuickBooks setup and support, account reconciliation, financial reports, and catch-up or cleanup work when the books have fallen behind.
Good bookkeeping should do more than keep you ready for tax time. It should help you understand your business, make better decisions, and give your accountant clean, reliable information to work with.
I’m based in Bellevue and work with small businesses throughout the Eastside, as well as virtual clients.
History
Established in 2010.
Essential Accounting Support grew from my desire to help small business owners feel more confident about the financial side of running their businesses.
Before becoming a bookkeeper, I was a teacher, and that background still shapes the way I work today. I enjoy helping people understand things that can initially feel confusing, and bookkeeping became a natural fit.
Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of small businesses and organizations, including adult family homes, real estate professionals, marketing agencies, retail businesses, private clubs, and local organizations.
Today, Essential Accounting Support serves businesses throughout Bellevue and the Eastside, as well as virtual clients.
Meet the Business Owner: Christie H.
I'm Christie Hammond, owner of Essential Accounting Support and a QuickBooks ProAdvisor based in Bellevue, Washington.
Before becoming a bookkeeper, I was a teacher. It turns out those two careers have more in common than you might think.
A big part of my work is helping people understand something that can initially feel confusing. I don't expect my clients to know bookkeeping terminology or have perfect records before they call me. My job is to help get things organized, answer questions in plain language, and give business owners a clearer picture of what's happening financially.
I work with clients throughout Bellevue and the Eastside and also provide virtual bookkeeping support.
