The place is nice and they even play real Latin music. I think though they may be playing Spanish music a lot of the time but hey this is Europe. Germany is a mesh of cultures being the center of Europe so this is what you get I guess. I really liked that our waiter and the hostesses spoke English. I gave them four stars because they didn't have the menu in English or Spanish, just German. Come on, the other nearby Mexican joints have an English menu so I was really surprised about this place.

The positives here are that its a nice location, nice ambience and the steak was cooked to perfection and of good quality. I would give my steak a 4.5. The side dishes, the vegetarian option and the overall favours were ok but not great. The service was also a bit slow and hence the three stars. The restaurant is cosy inside and looks great. The tables are well set and the service started off real well. The menu is extensive and has a lot of vegetarian options (Italian and Asian). For the meat eater there is steaks and lots of fish options. There is also chicken and so on. Steaks average €20 without sides. The flavors were inconsistent. The bread came with three spreads and the home made butter was divine and I loved it. The wine choice was also good. The steak was great but the sauce lacked flavour and seasoning. The sides were ok and nothing special. The vegetarian stir fry was bland also. I may try this place again if I am in town. Given the choices available it might be a while yet. It's not cheap and for that money I expect more.

As usual we did not get disappointed. The Carpaccio, the Steak and the dessert where as great as the entertainment at the bar. We'll come back and we can recommend "Hoffmans" to everybody who likes Steak. p.s. And please don't make a fool of yourself by ordering a steak "well done". What a waste of the excellent meat.
