We recently rented regular bicycles from Lulu's while we were visiting Colmar. We wanted to ride a…read moreportion of the Route du Vin, from Colmar to Eguisheim to Turckheim, Kayserberg, and back to Colmar, a total of about 30 miles. The bikes we rented at Lulu's served us well, and mine included a pack so we didn't have to carry anything on our backs. An accompanying tool kit to do minor repairs was also included (though we had no need for it), as well as bike locks. The cost of renting was reasonable, 15 Euros for a whole day for each bike. Lulu's is highly recommended for bicycle rentals.

I bought a small part for my bicycle at Velosophie in Freiburg. At home…read more I realized that it did not fit. At another bike shop I got the same part, but better fitting, for half the price (compared to Velosophie). So I wanted to give it back to Velosophie. Of course I had the receipt and the part was not used and still new. The owner refused to take it back. He insisted that it must fit and I should come by with my bicycle to try it on the shop. But that was not possible, because it is not ready to drive and is located outside of Freiburg. I had to tell him that several times and he became rude. It was only about a few Euros, but he need to learn to deal with customers differently.
