A little Lagkahuset with friendly service to sum it up…read more I had to stop by at Lyngby st and spent some minutes waiting and there was no better alternative for coffee other than 7-11, so naturally I went to this place. Like all Lagkahuset shop, you have to pull number and wait for your number to be called. A bit too clinical for a bakery and cake shop, you might say - but it wasn't a rush hour and I got served immediately. I asked for a small cortado and the girl behind the counter asked if I wanted to decide how much the milk would be myself. Uhmm, okay - maybe she experienced that many people confused cortado with latte instead but I guess it's always good to decide yourself. So she poured the milk in front of me and waited until I said stop, which was right after because I wanted a cortado not a latte. That's a bit odd part, but hey - it's a good (emergency) place to have a coffee and a bite (if you're into sweet stuff) and a good people watching place since it's just next to the station. Next time I'm stranded here again, I'd probably go here again :)

A good variety of Pastries/Baked goods, coffee beans, and tea for sale. We both ordered the Semmellatte out of curiosity. Espresso with spices and Oat milk/Oat Milk whip cream. I got an extra Espresso shot thinking it would be a taller drink and ended up with a strong drink. That said, we enjoyed it! More of a Cappuccino than Latte though. The Cardamom Buns were possibly the best I've ever had! We ordered a second to take home. The Rhubarb Tart was dense, buttery and filled with Rhubarb-Delicious! Service was friendly and engaged. I saw a second location closer to a friend's place. Don't miss the Buns and Semmellate!

Ohhhh man Cafe André is the perfect afternoon pick-me-up stop!!…read more The cake & pie display is MAJORLY drool-worthy. We shared the passionfruit buckthorn (a bestseller, sounds exotic & tastes divine) + key lime pie (with a hefty + heavenly layer of torched meringue). You really can't go wrong with any of them: I just as easily could have downed the nougat espresso or coconut or homestyle apple pie or carrot cake oh please take me back. We got the coffee (chai lattes included if that's more yo style) + cake special for 64 kr. I know it sounds on the pricey side but there are so many factors goin' for it: the slices are humonnngous, the presentation is lovely (the pistachio crumbles were a nice touch), and the beans are top notch (my americano was supa smooth). Service warm as well - from the patient baristas (ours walked over to the front of the display to patiently explain every glorious flavor of pie) to André himself seeing us out, we felt welcome the whole duration of our stay (+ free tap water & wifi wassup). This place is an absolute gem. Go to Helsingør for the castle & stay for the cake.

I ordered a couple of the small savory pies/quiche that came with a salad. These also came in a larger size that is equivalent to a little more than 2 of the mini size pies. The pie flavors change regularly and I got one with goat cheese/spinach and the second was pasta bolognese. Both were tasty and the side salad paired nicely.
