Wow…read more Stopped for gas. My last stop of a 2300 mile trip. They didn't answer in the radio so I called on the phone to let them know I was coming in the front door with a pretty good headwind. A girl verified they indeed had fuel and hung up. Got to the dock and tied up, no one in sight. I start filling one tank and the pump is barely pumping. Stopped, gave it time to prime (half a dozen times) but couldn't get it to pump. Still no one around. Get back off the boat and go find a worker to help. She said she would be right out and I returned to my vessel. A few minutes later she approached my boat dragging a different fuel hose. She stops 5' short of my stern, extends her arm out and shoulder height and pulled the trigger to FULL. Aiming ahead of herself onto their floating dock she exclaims that this one working better. As gas is now splattering all over me, my boat, and their dock I was in awe when she handed me the nozzle and walked back towards the office. Sad to see just how bad society has completely lost respect for our environment. I totally blame management for the lack of proper training and employing people that have no business working there. It used to be a real job, a fuel dock worker. Now we let any warm body willing to work for minimum wages.

I can't comment on docking or area ammenities as I've been there three times to refuel only. We usually stay at South Seas, which is pricier and seems nicer to spend the weekend. I am however a fan of Marco Island Marina because the times I've been there the staff has been friendly and it seems like a very well built and maintained marina.

We were very disappointed in our pontoon boat rental from this facility. We had a large party and…read morerented two pontoon boats. Only one boat was in relatively good condition. The other boat, while it did function to take us for the day, was in terrible shape and should be put to pasture or remodeled. The boat was not wiped down at all when we got there and all the seams were busted and the foam was rotted to the touch. You could not sit down without covering. We were offered no coverings and had to use all our towels to sit. There was what appeared to be mold on the seats and the flooring had to be swept out. The table was dusty mess. This place does not seem to care about the quality of the boats. We told one of the handlers on the dock and he gave us one towel to wipe the seats with but nothing to cover them. There was no GPS, no fuel gauge (they told us how much gas we used!) no depth finder, no horn (except for a whistle - not sure what that would prevent!). One of the props were bent. We voiced a complaint at the end and the lady was rude and dismissive. I would not recommend using this facility without prior inspection of the boats. We were not able to see the boats as we were from out of town. Plus the distance from Goodland to Keewaydin, Island much farther than if you rented from a Marco Is. marina. Thankfully the day turned out perfect notwithstanding the condition of the pontoon boat!

We happen to be on a floating dock which is great for Marco/Goodlands changing tides. Great for a few nights or long term. Full service marina makes it convenient to refuel, buy bait, repairs and more. All the staff are welcoming which makes it a fun trip!

Its name may have changed (as even they would admit that Rose Marco River Marina was quite a mouthful), but this recently revitalized institution of Marco Island has been a premier spot for water adventures since 1969. We are new to sailing and we were sailing from Ft Myers…read moreto Islamorada and encountered inclement weather, pulled in for safe harbor, and found this gem! Craig, the Asst. Dockmaster, is truly the biggest asset this company could ever have. We were given a slip for the night at an excellent rate, coffee'd up, hot showered (showers were the cleanest of any marina we have ever seen), given use of his personal vehicle to make a run to West Marine, and he taught us many things we did not know that would help to make the rest of our journey not only fun but safe. We are so new to sailing, that he even helped us get into the slip safely. He then pointed us to a quaint little Coney Island restaurant right around the corner where we had a good meal with great conversation with everyone there. We honestly can't say enough about how great he made our stay! If you are ever in the area and need a clean, wide slip with great people to help in any way they can, make sure you stop in at Pier 81 and ask for Craig!
