Please be aware of this firm…read more My grandmother had a case with them for many years. I asked them for my grandmothers file, a file that every firm is legally obligated to provide to all of their clients. They came up with a bs excuse that they had the file in storage so there was an associated $50 charge to give her file to her. This is completely unethical to charge clients for their files, so I threatened to file a bar complaint and the attorney called me crying. Based off of us requesting my grandmothers file they dropped my grandmother's case. In the height of immigration issues being the worst my grandmother was given a court hearing. They notified her the week of by sending a letter. Attorneys are notified of hearings months in advance, yet they let her know the week of by sending a letter. When I called they said because I was rude (for asking for a file and getting upset at their attorney for charging $50) that they dropped my grandmothers case. On the court date they appeared to simply request to get off of the case and washed their hands of any responsibility. When I called the firm I was told that they wouldn't even have a simple conversation with me about anything because I threatened to file a state bar complaint and I needed to hire a new attorney. We lost my mother who took care of my grandma and all of this fell on us, all while the firm didn't have the decency to make more attempts in getting a hold of us for such a sensitive matter, especially knowing months in advance. If at all you take from my review please be aware of their practices. They are immigration attorneys handling such sensitive situations, but it seems that if you call them out they become emotional and that skews their moral compass. Also if they try to charge you $50 for your file when you request it - please know that is not legally allowed and you can contact the state bar to report them. (213) 765-1000.

Jonathan's been working on my case for almost 5 years. From the first time I contacted him he was…read morealways quick to respond which I truely appreciated. He constantly kept me informed step by step where we were in the legal process. He always addressed all my questions and/or concerns in a timely manner. Going through a lawsuit is very stressful but Jonathan kept me motivated and focused on our main goal. He genuinely had my best interest in mind. At the end of the day he ultimately let me decide if we should settle or go to trial. He explained the pros and cons to both and never pressured me to do one over the other. I'm happy with the results and have no doubt without Jonathan my settlement wouldn't have been possible. I'm so thankful to have met him and the all the people in his firm that fought so hard for me. He literally changed my life. My family and I are a lot more financially comfortable now because of him. I'm forever grateful to Jonathan Lacour.

BEWARE: I reached out to this firm regarding a pregnancy discrimination arbitration case and it was…read morea mistake. I explained that the company had illegally acted, and that there was cause for damages damages, but because the employer was scrambling and trying to "fix" their violations, the reward would most likely be mid to minimal - and she agreed. But as I encouraged the firm to consider a small payday, the representative began to defend its practice by really convoluting the conversation with a number of contradictory theories. I tried my best to reason with the representative. But she began cutting me off and talking loudly to the point where I asked her to please lower her tone; that we were just two professionals talking. But she couldn't help herself. The representative just continued to cut me off. So much so that I couldn't even finish a sentence. I was hoping that this firm would be conforming and show empathy when going through a difficult time in life. I just wanted to share my experience. I am an Air Force veteran and this is my true and sworn testimony.
