A wonderful OBGYN who is mother herself. She understands both sides of motherhood and has a wonderful bedside manner. She really listens to your concerns, answers questions and is delicate, but thorough with exams! read more

Was very happy with dr Espinal at first . She was treating me for menopause. I had been taking hormones for symptoms I was having . I unfortunately had a heart attack and was taken off my hormones by my cardiologist. I was having trouble with severe hot flashes and night sweats all around feeling sick. I called dr Espinal for suggestions to help me cope with how I was feeling. She said there was NOTHING she could do about it . No ideas no nothing just threw me under the bus . Needless to say I'm not ever going back to her . read more

I have seen two different midwives so far during my pregnancy; Molly Kerstetter and Laura Neal. I LOVE both women and I trust them entirely with my health and the health of my baby. I am so impressed how they remember me every time I come in and they always take my questions and concerns to heart. I hope to have one of them for when my delivery day arrives but it cannot be guaranteed. Noting my interactions with the rest of the staff, I feel confident that no matter who my midwife will be on that day, I will be in good care. Everybody from the nurses to the receptionist are all such wonderful people who make me feel important every time I am seen. I have known so many people who are not confident in their care at their Gynecologist office so I truly feel lucky that my insurance covers this office and that I don't have to deal with some of the things I have heard other women go through. My midwives never criticize me about my weight or judge me for decisions that I've made in my pregnancy. You won't be disappointed if you choose this location for your pregnancy health.

Our first time seeing this provider was disappointing and infuriating.From the start, he was dismissive and annoyed by my presence. He gave no introduction or acknowledgment of my medical history.I asked a straightforward question about updating a prescription and he became argumentative. My husband asked why my fundal height was not measured during this visit, as it had been at every prior appointment. Instead of explaining, he refused to answer. Said, "these numbers don't really matter." Very concerning given my high-risk/past losses.Also concerned by his inaccurate, lazy documentation that minimized my clinical picture & suggested my ultrasound growth monitoring was not necessary, ignoring my well-documented risk factors. No patient should receive this treatment. Do not schedule with this man, especially if you are high risk or have complex medical needs.

I found the continuity of care concerning, as I rarely saw the same provider at consecutive…read moreappointments. Each time I raised an issue, I was told it would be followed up at my next visit. However, at the following appointment the new provider was unfamiliar with my concerns, and the cycle repeated. I specifically requested that standard labs be drawn, including urine protein and other routine monitoring I am accustomed to seeing in the hospital setting. These tests were never ordered, so I obtained them independently through Quest Diagnostics. I was also told my iron levels were normal, yet no iron studies had been performed. My hemoglobin was later found to be 8.0, confirming that my iron status was, in fact, not normal. When I alerted the team that my results were trending toward pre-eclampsia, my concerns were not addressed. Instead, I was asked if I "just wanted to be done" and was offered an elective c-section at 37 weeks. My goal was not convenience -- I wanted both myself and my baby to be safe, particularly given my age of 40. Ultimately, I delivered via emergency c-section, was discharged, and within a day required readmission for postpartum pre-eclampsia -- a complication I had repeatedly raised concern about and that was not appropriately addressed.

My appointment was just three or four weeks ago, and I'm very happy to report that I had a very positive experience. The staff was attentive and efficient. Dr. Mehl is straight forward but warm and friendly. She asked insightful and direct questions and made me feel a lot better about some concerns I had regarding returning to work during the pandemic. I'm very glad to have found her.

WHG is a beautiful facility located off Tallmadge circle. Extremely clean, ample parking, massive waiting area and friendly staff. Came in for a yearly tuneup and maintenance check and was very pleasantly surprised. Dr.Smelcer was extremely friendly, completed my PAP lickity split with absolutely no pain and wasn't afraid to answer my questions. If he didn't know an answer or wasn't confident in the area of discussion? He wasn't afraid to say it instead of blowing smoke! LOVE THAT! Probably due to ineptitude, which I then was harassed about coming back to re-take as they had already submitted it to my insurance! So back again for more torture, this time when they couldn't find my vein to take blood. Now, they are harassing me about a $100 balance after my insurance has already paid thousands. What a bunch of *$%@s!!!!!
