Having read about this in the travel guide and internet, we made sure this was part of our stop. Espai Barroc is conveniently located adjacent to El Xampanyet, the amazing tapas bar so this is the perfect place to go for a drink and lounge right after tapas! Note, this is also closeby the Picasso museum so you already have your afternoon/evening lined up perfectly!
Don't be intimated by the gate and the doorman/guard. At first, it seems as if there is a certain exclusivity to it, but once you walk in, you will be blown away, taking you back to 2-3 centuries ago. As soon as we walked in, the courtyard here welcomes you with its indescribable ambiance. That night they had a pianist playing classical music. I heard they have opera on Thursdays; that must be quite something! Drink prices were higher than normal, but that's expected at a place like this.
