We visited Northumberland Zoo with the 3 of us on a Sunday and spent a few hours there. It is a lovely small zoo that has some unique animals, though, whether it is a snow leopard or the Livingstone bats. The zoo is well maintained with friendly staff and decent catering. Well worth the visit. read more
Now called Northumberland Zoo. This is a family run zoo and everyone is very friendly. They still have the farm side but also snow leopards, a monkey house, raccoons, lynx, scottish wild cats, an arctic fox and more. Value for money with a cafe and soft play for the kids. Well worth a visit! read more
We absolutely loved this place. When looking for a good day out for a wee man without breaking the bank.
Lots of animals to see and learn about but most importantly for a young lad he gets to pet and feed them too. There are alternatives close by but they are more expensive and seem less hands on. These guys are all about the animals. There is plenty of development happening on the site so we will be back to see the changes in the next couple of seasons. Before we visited we read some mixed reviews about the cleanliness and animal welfare, upon arrival we realised these were from people who really have no concept of animal farm Parks. The animals were well cared for and it was a bit muddy but what do you expect in addition there is always going to be a bit of poo get over it. Also they make their own beef jerky and it is totally amazing so but a pack or 10. read more
