I have been getting my hair cut here for the last 7 years at the old spot and this spot. As well as…read moremy 5 year old for the past 2 years. We have had great haircuts from Mario, and have had good interactions with the other barbers and patrons. My first time walking in, they were booked solid and were busy cutting hair. They don't have a receptionist, so one of the barbers will usually ask if you have an appt, because they know their patrons well, and are usually booked up. They will offer their next available, and it may not be that day. Especially if it's a weekend. I have never seen them be rude or preferential, regardless of what you look like, ever. Once you get in on their scheduling system, an app! It's super easy.

Excellent haircuts!! We've been going to Ricky for a few years now. Recently brought my little boys…read more(1 y.o. and 3 y.o.) and I couldn't be happier with the results. Ricky always takes his time and was super patient with the kiddos. These haircuts are the best they've had to date. (It was the first time for my 1 y.o.) I wasn't worried about crooked lines or uneven fades. Ricky really is that good. I like this location better than the previous one. The shop was super clean and more spacious. Three TVs to help pass the time and distract the kids. Like any other place, appointments are recommended but walk-ins are always welcome. Response time is great and very accommodating. It's a little more than what other places charge but you really do get your money's worth. Nobody wants to walk around with a messed up haircut in order to save a few bucks.

I was very impressed with "Heidi", who was efficient and kind. I entered the barbershop at 7:56 pm,…read more4 minutes before closing. I asked if she could do 1 more haircut, and she smiled and said, "Yes!". The barbershop was very clean and looked like it was recently opened with shiny chairs (see the picture) and all of the furniture looking new. However, I noticed a Yelp review was over 12 years ago, so, La Guasavena Barber Shop has been here in Escondido since around 2014. When it was my turn, I noticed that with the previous customer, she was conversing primarily in Spanish. So, to make it easier, I showed her a picture of Captain Carson Teva, from the Mandalorian, who I will be Cosplaying him next week at the Star Wars Night at Disneyland. I mentioned that I was taking my daughter (little did she know my daughter is 27 years old) to Disneyland. So, she proceeded to employ her skills and quickly dispatched the long hair that my wife was complaining about and gave me a very neat trim. I dare say I now look like Captain Carson Teva!!! Amazing!!! I thoroughly expressed my gratitude and the haircut was $30 plus a little extra for coming last minute and she finished me up by 8:15 pm. And she said, "Now you're ready for Disneyland!". Since it was dark, I drove past the barbershop and went back around. There is only street parking from what I could tell. I parked next to See's Candies. I asked if she also cuts for women's hair. And she does. Great experience at La Guasavena Barber Shop!!!

Gotta say that this place is pretty legit. I normally have the lady (don't know her name but she's the only female there) cut my hair. The prices are reasonable ($15) and the cuts are good and consistent. Parking is kind of a hassle as the strip mall only has limited parking with some closed off for other businesses in the area. Highly recommend.

Jonathan the Barber and owner has great blending and fading techniques right on par with the cuts I used to get back when I was living in LA. He has great attention to detail and takes his time when you're in his chair and makes me feel right at home. Also at $15 for a great quality taper with a edge up is handout IMHO.
