What a fantastic place and always a wonderful experience to eat here.
This old traditional family-run restaurant in the countryside is built on the site of an incredible old flour mill on a river. The proprietor gave up a career as a medical doctor in order to bring this place back to life, and what a great job she has done. The mill is in great condition but sadly not operational. Be sure and phone ahead and arrange for a short tour - its quite fascinating. They bake their own bread beside the mill in a very traditional way and in very old traditional wood burding ovens. The restaurant itself is an intimate farmhouse with friendly staff serving delicious meals. Its a great venue for team events or group celebrations or even family occasions.
They don't take credit cards (except in an emergency!) so be sure to bring cash and be sure to buy a freshly baked loaf to take back home. read more
