Checked in for 2 nights as it was close to many financial institutions. Location was convenient as 7-11 and various restaurants/ fast food and coffee shops were located practically outside my doorsteps. You will also find an establishment that does massages in the same area. Grounds were kept neat and clean and I was surprised despite the busy street outside things were quiet and calm. No Pool just an fyi. Ample parking, and I believe at no charge.
Room: We booked what they call the "orange room" which states it is a double queen bed. I'm not sure if they were truly double queen beds as both the room and beds are on the tiny side. I would say the beds were full size. Had we been of a large stature it would've felt as if we were giants stuffed into a tiny room. I had many pieces of luggage with me as I had just recently arrived. Imagine 2 full size beds with luggage in an efficiency sized apartment, this is the feeling you will get. A/c blew cold and included was a I think about a 20 in. flat screen with cable. There was also a small wardrobe unit to store your belongings, and I did not see an in-room safe. Free wifi. Clean room.
Bathroom was equally tiny but layed out in a practical manner. I stood there trying to figure out how the shower worked as there were no instructions. After many twists and turns of the knobs and switches, alas warm water to shower with. Water flow was a little better than a trickle and so was the bathroom faucet to the sink. There was no option to turn up the water, was more like an on and off function with the same flow throughout using it.
Staff: I did not really have a lot of face time or interaction with the staff. There were a few times were when we needed something or asked something they were pretty quick about it. So no complaints there. The security guard was equally friendly, if not more, attentive than the hotel staff themselves. A plus!
Check out: took longer than expected, receptionist called someone to check our room or something before giving us the "ok" to depart. Pretty Strange. I did notice a computer and possibly a printer in the front desk area. I did not ask or use the computer but might be helpful should you need to check in for your flight. Not sure if there's a charge.
Overall I'd say you get what you pay for, as the pricing was of good value. Close and convenient to many locations, easy to hail a cab and be on your way. I'd stay here again if needed minus the numerous amount of luggage I had in tow. Just don't expect this to be of the same caliber with the likes of Marriott and other big name hotels. Think more on the side of B&B and or a mom and pops place that has been recently renovated.
Tip to the staff at the front desk: You could be more cordial and accommodating to your guests. Don't stand there as if whatever is on the tv is more important than the guest. After all, although your pricing is of good value, I'm still paying for a room. read more
