If I could do 0 stars believe me I would. Had a reservation for 8:30pm, we showed up at 8:20pm and no one was there everything was closed and all the lights were off. At least I got my refund but they didn't even try to offer anything to us like a free reservation to make up for it, or even really apologize for the inconvenience. read more

It was a bit of a mess, walkie talkie didn't work, clues weren't structured like an actual clue so much as "do this" which was often something we had already done. Just one room. Overall wasn't super impressed. Would try again after they move maybe. read more

Worst escape room in the Springs. Did 3 of the rooms. Puzzles are not well thought out. Props and locks broken - that's a total fail. I have been here twice and both times the game master had to come in the room. Both times there were puzzles that didn't work or were not reset properly. Big improvements are needed at this place, in order to compete with the other options in the Springs that are available for the same price. read more

Our experience was weak. We did the chamber 2. If you dont do well with blinking lights this room is not for you! They set our room back up wrong. so we spent 15 minutes on a puzzle that we were never gonna be able to get. Then when we asked for a hint they gave us a wrong clue so we spent 10 minutes fussing with the wrong thing. The locks were super hard to use and get to. Overall not my favorite experience at all. read more

This was our second time at Escape The Place the first time we did not like but decided to give it another try since my group of 4 LOVE escape rooms. We did our 8th room together ( 2nd at ETP) and we had no since of accomplishment. 5 Minutes in we were asked to leave the room because it was set up wrong. We started again everything reminded me of a quick high school project more than an actual business. The locks we had to try the same code over and over because the codes where right just picky to open the one word lock with a blank space is really stupid! The shape of the symbol we were matching looked different and the guy was like ya I don't know what ones correct? Super simple to fix that dumb mistake. I am made this was my pick of places after we did all the rooms at 21Keys. read more

We did microzon, but a better name would have been escape goodwill. The room was cheaply designed and scarcely decorated. Over half the room was labeled to "not touch", which left about 4 things to play with. The puzzles were rudimentary at best, we would have solved it easily with no hints in under 30 minutes if the props had all been working - the batteries in the black light and TV remote were dead and our game master had to enter the room. The game master was not the least bit enthusiastic and read off our "story" with about as much interest as reading an oven manual, and then told us multiple times not to unmake the bed, take off the pillow cases, unfold the towels, or touch about half the room. Pretty sure it's because they just didn't want to make the bed again. Save your money and go to Aha Escapes or locked in escapes - they provide an actual experience for the same price (sometimes cheaper!) read more

We did the room "Quarantine" room at Escape the Place and it was a shit show. I have done tons of escape rooms in colorado springs and have never been to one so unorganized, and all over the place. The room is considered the "hardest room in colorado" according to the personnel and i agree seemjng that no one can escape since it makes no sense whatso ever. Difficult COHESIVE rooms are worth the money, and fun no matter the outcome, but not this room since there was no logical way to escape without being as random in your guessing as this room was set up. Looking for something to do with family, friends, co-workers? This is the place. Especially if you want or need an indoor activity. Our group of six attempted a puzzle designed for a group of twelve (oops execution error on our part). We came close to escaping, but just missed the mark. The puzzles were challenging, the storyline was fun, and everyone in our group (ages 14 to 55) had a good time. We chatted about it afterwards for quite some time. We did this for my birthday and this was the first time doing an escape room at Escape the Place (but none of us were newbies to escape rooms in general). We did Quarantine, 2% escape rate at the time, and now we totally understand why. Very puzzle focused and definitely easy to get distracted! We were so close though, literally working through the last puzzle when time ran out. The only thing that I would suggest is to get working walkie-talkies. We wasted a few minutes trying to communicate with the manager of the room with a broken walkie-talkie and distracted with him walking in and out to fix it and those few minutes wasted were valuable. Ok. This was our first time in an escape room so we did not know what to expect. Turns out our anxiety was totally unfounded The staff is absolutely fantastic. Fun and smart and yes, helpful. We did the rampancy room which is one of their hardest and we almost completed it. It was so immersive that we almost forgot we were in a room. And we "hacked" a lock and ended up three or four steps ahead. The staff caught it and set us straight. Was pretty funny actually. But it was an extremely well spent hour. This place was a blast. 6 of us from work escaped the CIA black site with about 5 minutes to spare. It was such a fun experience. The staff was professional and courteous and the facility was clean. They really put a lot of thought into the black site room and it shows. The cost is high per person ($28) but they do offer a military discount ($4) and in the end it was worth it. Had so much fun at Hel's Manor tonight. Took a group of friends, total of eight of us and had so much fun solving the rooms and clues. My fiancé and I were in the Springs to celebrate our 10 year anniversary when she suggested we do an escape room. She had done several in Las Vegas this year and I was unable to attend because of work so we booked here. We received a call shortly after we booked to hear that we were the only ones scheduled to be in the room and that they felt it would be too difficult for the two of us. We had no other times that our schedules matched so we had to ask for a refund. I had to call today, 2 weeks later, and ask that our refund be processed. The gentleman confirmed that no one put our refund through. Very disappointing. Was willing to give them another shot if we were in the area, but the refund being forgotten was really the icing on the cake. read more

We took a group of teens here for my daughter's 15th birthday party. The kids had an absolute BLAST and worked incredibly well together to ESCAPE from HEL'S MANOR. The puzzles and problems were tricky and definitely required some brains and teamwork. There was one clue that tripped us up because we got it correctly, but a lock didn't open. I've done about 10 escape rooms and the Time Bomb escape room here is the worst I've ever done. The room was poorly decorated. There was basically no story. We were just suppose to open a dozen boxes than contained another dozen boxes and then another dozen. No fun props. No interesting puzzles. Just 3 puzzles to solve a dozen times each. 6 of us did hangover room as a birthday celebration for the hubs. There were fun puzzles but in the end we did not escape and those 2 puzzles that stopped our escape were crap. Not creative, clever, or thought provoking... just dumb. For 28 bucks per person I had higher expectations. Now I'm no germaphobe but the room was SUPER DIRTY - severely needed to be dusted and vacuumed. I wasn't actually staying in a hotel room, of course, but it was gross with the most beaten up super junky hotel cast-off furniture! It looked like the staff who staged the room went to the dump for props... not even a thrift store but a garbage dump! And I shop at thrift stores. For the $160 clams they made in 1 hour they really should have vacuumed and cleaned up a bit. I do not recommend hangover because some puzzles were just no fun, it was overpriced, and really unclean. read more

We did this with group of people for my sister's birthday. It was a lot of fun working together to escape from the rooms. One of our people was late and they were booked solid, so they had to start the timer before she got there. We still did really well and afterwards they told us it was their second hardest challenge. I would love to do one of these again. Just make sure all of your group is checked in 15 minutes early because they have to brief you and get waivers signed. read more

One electronic lock didn't work and we were frequently called from the "Front Desk" with clues without reaching out. This was my first escape room experience and I have to say I'm officially addicted! Myself and three other co-workers opted to try The Hangover. It has an 8% success rate and I can say that it was definitely challenging! We ended up being two puzzles away from freedom when our time ran out. The theme, decoration and story line were all cohesive and well thought out. Overall it was a really great experience.
