It was my daughter's birthday and she wanted to go. We drove three hours from Colorado to check this place out. We decided to stay and they were all so wonderful. Lifeguards were everywhere and very friendly. VIP feeling since we were the only ones there for about two hours. I appreciate them being open and working on such a miserable day. Thank you Parrot Cove! We will return.

We were overnighting in Garden City on a road trip and I learned about the zoo. I have been hitting a lot of zoos this year, and a small community zoo sounded interesting, plus I read that it was free. I was not ready for how great the zoo was. I have seen a lot of big city zoos that struggle to have the quality of this zoo. The habitats for the animals were large giving them plenty of space, and there were lots of examples of engagement activities and toys in their space. One of my favorite animals was the sloth bear. This animal is gorgeous and a real pleasure to see. I also enjoyed the giraffes as they were very active and walking around. The rhino exhibit was also great as these animals are so big and get around. We went first thing on a Sunday before we jumped on the road to drive the rest of the way home. The morning walk through the zoo was very nice under the shade trees and all the interconnecting walkways. If you find yourself in the area, the zoo is a must and should not be missed.

The Lee Richardson Zoo is a five diamond zoo, the animals are accessible, well cared for and active. The zoo is easy walking, with plenty of shady places to rest and observe some exotic animals. If you want to see healthy well cared for exotic animals get some fresh air and have a amazing time, come on out! This is a gem of a find in SW KS.

I was passing by the tennis courts at one of parks in Glenview, and saw Bart teaching a girl who looked like she was also in high school. I observed Bart's approach for a while, and I have to admit that I hadn't seen anything like this before: precision, professionalism and dedication. I signed up my son, Alex, for lessons with him. My son had gone through many pros in this area, and none of them could correct the things that Bart was able to do with a few of his unique exercises. He is like Mr. Miyagi in Karate Kid movie. His approach is innovative and effective. At first, my son was not used to such demanding practice. After a few sessions with Bart, though, he started to love it. Now he understands that, in order to achieve extraordinary results, he has to work hard and be patient. Now he wants to play tournaments and practice every day because he sees that he has improved. His self esteem has increased significantly because he knows that he can achieve challenging objectives. While I don't think that my son has the potential to play tennis professionally, his game has greatly improved. Furthermore, he has become much more confident and self-aware.
