I went to this place with a friend and his mother. We did the hardest one, film noir, expecting to do pretty good knowing that we haven't lost an escape room.. but we were in for a treat. The room being completely black and white was really neat. All of our group members wore black and white to fit in with the theme. Our team name was the penguins because of it. As we entered we were really excited to start and had a hot start but got slowed down big time on one puzzle. But eventually got it done with and continued. What sucked was that we were in the very last puzzle when time ran out! We got to finish it though and see how it would've ended. And don't think I forgot about you Seth. Our game master, Seth, was my absolute favorite that I've had, no offense to you, Dalton. The employees quite literally become your family when you get there. Seth treated us with a lot of respect and was really helpful. He got the scene set and got us excited. At the end he even complimented us and said that he thought we would've had a record if it weren't for the one puzzle we got stuck on. Definitely coming back! read more

Super fun and the staff is very welcoming and informative. The games have a couple of rooms. Our room (Amnesia) had several rooms and the difficulty was just perfect for 4 of us. We filled out a waiver, used the bathroom, and then watched a short and witty video on the safety of the location. Our gamemaster went over any questions we had and then showed us to the room. Gamemaster Cailin was awesome! We were given 3 hints and finished 8 minutes early. I would suggest coming here; I want to come back and try some of the other rooms. read more

If you like a challenge, and appreciate quality game design, you must come here. Remember, it's about the experience, not escaping. What's great here is there's no "stranger danger" meaning you won't get paired with random people like at other escape rooms. Give it a try if you're unsure, but I guarantee it's fun whether you escape or fall short. ERW-Appleton and GB have such intricate games that challenge beginners and experts alike. This is a great place if you want to shake things up with your date night or a night out with friends. They have multiple rooms that change every few months. Some of the rooms are permanent rooms. I have been here for quite a few rooms now and have had a great time every time. The staff is always great and fun. I have always done the 4 person rooms a few times just being two of us in the room. I recently found out that if you book at least 2 spots in a 4 person room they block out the room so you don't get teamed up with two random people. I wouldn't mind randoms being in the room but it is a small room so it could be weird and awkward if you didn't get along so I see why they made the change and actually prefer it. The cost is a little pricey if you go on a Friday or Saturday night and you should always book a few weeks in advance as the spots go quickly. I guess a lot of people worry about being "locked in". You are not actually locked in and can get out in case of emergency BUT if you leave early it does end the game for everyone you are with so it really is just in case of emergency. Also, even though I mentioned the rooms being small before, they are not claustrophobic so you should be fine. One last thing, the rooms are absolutely beautiful, with lots of work and craftsmanship going into the design of each one. The decorations, props, and puzzles all come together in a very nice package that you can tell a lot of time was spent on creating the perfect atmosphere. We booked last minute on Saturday it was $30 a person and we did the super hero themed room. This place was inviting the moment we walked in with really over the top excellent staff. They were friendly and their dog that was running around was so cute. I don't want to talk about the room at all and give away the room but I will say it was like movie set quality the whole thing. The experience was OUTSTANDING like I have done some rooms at other locations and none came close to this room. I mean I felt fully invested and immersed in this experience. I've done other Escape Rooms before (Pittsburgh and Milwaukee) and this one was the best overall atmosphere. The room theme (Agent 22) was kind of lacking in creativity and wow factor. In Pittsburgh I did a get out of jail one where you were handcuffed to the cell bars! But the staff here were far superior to other places. They were funny and engaging. I liked the smart screen in the room that they used to communicate with us and the silly things they made us do to get clues. Their space was very clean and well cared for and the overall experience was really, really good. Just wish they upped their rooms to be on par with all the other experiences you can find. read more

The thought process just behind setting it all up is super impressive then to go in and have to truly thing creatively is a blast. Only tip I will share is work as a team but also work independently. Superhero League Room review. Re. COVID: They maintained physical distance and everything appeared very clean. We wore masks until alone in the room. Re. the experience: This room was quite different from a standard escape room so if you are looking for a traditional room, don't do this one. We still found it to be fun and challenging. There were 6 of us so some of us had no idea at certain times what was happening in other areas but it was okay because there was so much to find/explore that we were able to keep the game moving forward. Kenzie and Maddie were good gamemasters- they provided clear instructions, which were necessary due to the different style of the room. read more

So much fun! I went with a group of 5 friends and we all had a blast. We arrived about 20 minutes early for our briefing, and after dumping cell phones (no cheating!) and listening to the rules and guidelines we were locked in a room. The room had a lot of props in it and clues were everywhere. They aren't easy and it took all of us all working together to solve them and find our way out in the 45 allotted minutes (about 20% of groups make it out in time). There was plenty to keep all of us busy, as there were a ton of clues to first find and then solve to get the information we needed. As an extra incentive, there was also a "bomb" in the room that we had to find clues for, in order to diffuse before it blew us up, thus ending the game. The 45 minutes flew by since we were having such a good time. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for something different and fun! read more

I had high hopes in the beginning. Come to find out, they are not ADA friendly in anyway, in participation or employment. I was planning to reserve another room with this person, who was so amazing, come to find out they were dismissed. They had a wonderful gamemaster, who had a disability, and they ended up firing them due to their disability. They did not adapt to disability nor did they speak to them prior to termination and try to adapt and rectify situation. Very disappointed in this day and age that an owner of a company can be so ignorant on how to speak and work with people with disabilities. I believe anyone with a disability or loves someone who is disabled, should boycott this company and their inappropriate treatment of disabled persons. Plus, they charge "for every belly button", yes they actually say this to customers. That includes newborns, or a nonverbal, disabled person who is not participating but cannot be left alone. Shame on this owner. May they get the training needed themselves to become a better person. read more

This place is fantastically awesome!! It's challenging just enough (we didn't succeed, so obviously it was too challenging for our crew). But it was absolutely awesome! Went for a birthday and it was the greatest thing ever! Will, without a doubt, go back for the other rooms when they open up. The people who own/work here are AWESOME!! Be careful when purchasing, NO REFUNDS GIVEN. I booked a room for 8 people and accidentally did it on the wrong day. I called to reschedule on the day that we wanted and they were completely booked. We are from out of town (New Orleans) and we're just home for Thanksgiving. I called within five minutes of booking and they still would not give me a refund. Went here for a co-ed bachelorette party and it was a lot of fun! Since we had a larger group we had to book one of the more difficult rooms and it was quite a challenge...aka we didn't succeed in the mission. We had a total blast in this room on a date! The puzzle was fun and the room props and stuff were so cool! (We did the Harry Potter challenge.). The woman who gave us directions was very friendly and helpful. We went on a Sunday night, because the price was a little cheaper. I will say, that is the reason for my four star rating. I thought $25 a person was a little expensive for a 45 minute experience. But, if you have some extra money to spend, you will definitely enjoy the experience! read more

I went with three friends, and we were forced to try to solve a room with a group of 4 strangers. 8 in a room is too many. The clues were poorly done and not connected in a clever way. There were multiple instances of faulty equipment that needed to be corrected by the staff during our hour in the room. read more

Booked a room for 6, never made it. Had a couple cancel on me because their child was sick. The company refused to even try to accommodate us. No refund for those two, no gift card , no options to retrieve my money, even though the rest of us were still planning to use the room. After a long phone argument in which voices were raised, police were called and I will be filing suit to retrieve all my money first thing Monday morning. Do not use this business, they don't know how to treat customers with respect. read more

We did the Halloween escape room in Green Bay. Sucked big time!!! There was an 'actress' in the room who had no clue how to act. She was supposed to be a séance operator. She rambled on and on and nothing she said helped the ambience of the evening. At one point I pulled a drawer out from a dresser and found a clue, and she yelled "you're not supposed to do that! That clue doesn't count. Put the drawer back." Hey, if you find a clue, you should get to use it. When our time was up she opened the door and pretty much said "Get the *** out." We will not be back. Spent way too much money only to end up extremely irritated. read more
