My apologies if this is not the usual format for reviews here I have never written one before but this case was, by far, the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant.
The main issue was the food and the conduct of the owner/manager. The restaurant served a member of our party fish that was not properly cleaned. One immediately ran to a nearby bush and threw up. We examined the dish and saw that the intestines were not removed and there was a large abundance of fecale matter in the fish. When we alerted the staff they hurriedly grabbed the plate without asking if he finished with his meal and disposed of it. Then the owner/manager approached us aggressively and proceeded to make rude and sexist comments towards the lady in our party who politely raised the issue. He accused the unwell person in our group of vomiting due to over intoxication (which was untrue). When we insisted the fish was the issue he used profanity calling several of us the C word and threatened to assault me if I continued to raise the issue.
We paid the bill and left but I cannot stress how awful this restaurant is. The nearby towns have far better cafes and restaurants. Would highly reccomend eating at one of them over Es Trenc. The beach itself was lovely and is definatly worth a visit! read more
