Photos to capture moments in my life is a big deal to me. Let's just say, I'm the lady who takes pictures of everything. So, when it came time to get a photographer for our wedding, it was harder than I expected. Bottom line, they are not cheap. Aside from purchasing your venue and the rings, the next expensive vendor item would be the photographer. I found ES Creation through Wedding.com. I was looking for a photographer who was affordable but also produced beautiful pictures. They provided us a custom package. Please note this was a custom package which was quoted to me in September, which is subject to change. My package consisted of a FREE engagement photo shoot (90 minutes plus 8 digital photos at one location must be done before 12.31.15). Two photographers (one that covered 10 hours and the other 5 hours). Digital image with color correction on disk. Total value $2,000.00 We met with Simon and Tika and they showed us their portfolio and the pictures were beautiful. We knew right away they were the people for our special day. We originally discussed a $300 deposit. To my surprise when I received the contract before our meeting, we needed to put $650.00 down. Luckily we had that amount. We had our engagement photos taken on Baker Beach, SF on 12.11.15 and both Simon and Tika were there. They are super nice. They guided us through the process. How to pose and where to go. It was freezing that day and it was really nice of them to provide us hand warmers. My fiancé and I had a great time, regardless of the freezing cold and having no feeling in our feet. LOL. We received our engagement photos a month later. Our pictures turned out great. If you're looking for an affordable photographer, I would recommend ES creation. My only complaint about their services is I wasn't sure who I was talking to on the email. Sometimes it would be Simon and other times it would be Tika. My suggestion to them is they should have one person doing emails/phone conversations with the client. This will prevent less confusion. Thanks Tika and Simon for a memorable Engagement Photo Session. We had a blast!! 4 months...20 days...22 hours....and counting til the big event!! read more

They're amazing! The owner Simon did a wonderful job for coordinating and kept us posted on every detail and suggestions. Sadly, because of COVID-19 and relocation, we don't have a chance to use theirs service. They tried really hard to find the new photographers that they trust and near ours new location. Unfortunately they can't find it. So they decided to refund all my deposit. I am highly recommended them not only good service but also affordable prices! read more

One word: Amazing!! Highly recommend this team of photographers. Not only are they affordable but my wedding pictures that were taken on September 22nd 2018 at Muir Woods Overlook were exactly what I expected!! My wedding pictures are amazingly beautiful. I contacted Simon through email first, he was very professional. Simon did mention to me that a different photographer named Yogi was the one who will be taking my photos, which was fine. The day of my wedding, Yogi arrived right on time, very happy guy! Yogi is super nice and very compassionate on what he does. I couldn't be more happier with everything. The lighting, angle & color of my wedding photos are just the best! Thank you Simon & Yogi!!! read more

ES Creation had done a great job for My wife and I. The owner Simon did a great job coordinating for everything: location/make up artist/photography/etc. We were looking for photography in the bay area for our pre-wedding photo, and ended up finding them. Cannot express how impressive we were, both at how profession the individuals are, as well as the outcome for the photos. We had Jin as our photographer and Jessie as our make up artist, and both of them were very professional, attention to details, and fun to work with. 100% would recommend to others! read more

I have worked with Simon at different occasions--fashion shows, individual and group fashion photo shoot, events, and business portraits. Simon has been consistently producing top quality images. It is always pleasant experience working with Simon. He is a true artist who always know how to capture the true beauty of each person. After years working with many different professional photographers, I have to say that Simon is definitely top notch. He is now my go-to photographer for any occasion. Highly recommended if you are looking for someone who cares about you and who can actually provide the highest quality of work for your important moments. read more

Yelp is the tool I use almost daily, to find out the "review/stars/comment" of the restaurants, menu, pictures of food, address, hours etc.......Never wrote a review myself until today - to recommend my wedding Photographer - Simon (ES Creation). First, Simon is super responsive. As a bride who planned to finish all the preparation and actual wedding in 2 months - Simon was very fast in answering all my questions: not just about the photos, but also where to get dress/gown, information about the San Francisco City hall (where we had our ceremony) such as when will be the best time to take photos and the parking situation. Second, Simon is very helpful - he shared with me photo examples so I could decide the "style" I like for my own wedding photos. Third, Simon is quick in delivering - he gave us the photos of our wedding ceremony in 1-2 day - when I have not even recovered from the exhaustion of the wedding day. Fourth and most importantly - the photos he took are great - it accurately and beautifully captured the most important moment of our lives. The photos he took for our family and friends are wonderful - even without any kind of "photoshop". This review is our sincere appreciation to Simon. We would highly recommend Simon to anyone! read more

Jin and Yoki were photographers for my wedding. They were amazing! They arrived earlier than expected at the venue, and immediately started getting everything ready (they drove 2 hours from San Francisco). The photos they took captured the movements and happiness of our families and friends. Throughout the wedding, they were one of the most reliable vendors we had. Simon immediately shared the highlighted photos with us within a few days after the wedding. Thank you Simon and his team! read more

Simon Fu and his team are amazing. I had them shoot a fashion show fundraiser for my daughter's school last month. When I saw the photos I was so proud. They knew how to use the camera to catch the right lighting, right expressions, heart and soul of the person. Highly recommend for your weddings, special events, children , pets. Anything you love. You get quality and competitive pricing. read more

I just recently got married and chose Simon and Yoki as my photographers. Of all vendors, I must say that they were the most easiest and an absolute pleasure to work with!! I'm EXTREMELY happy to have found and used them to capture my special day! I can't give enough thanks to you guys!! First off, I'm amazed by the quality and professionalism of their work. Compared to other professional photographers, Simon and Yoki come at the best price for top notch quality. Secondly, I still can't believe the pricing I got was so low for such quality work! One thing that really stood out to me was how passionate they are about their work and their true love for photography. They're always stressing my now husband and I to be there and follow their instructions so they can capture the candid, real moments of my special day. And I'm glad they did because the photos were breath taking! You really don't see a lot of people still so passionate about what they do. Please please please check them out and all the masterpieces they can create for you. They are such a steal compared to other photographers. Quality for such a low cost. You won't regret it!! read more

We are so excited to see our wedding day photos, they are so beautiful! I was worried that we might look exhausted with lots of planning and preparation works right before our wedding day. But Simon and his team had made this day at ease, we were cheered up and had lots of fun moments with our wedding parties and guests throughout the day. Es Creation has a team of great artists; their charisma and dedications create a record of life time memory, that one day, we would like to show it to our children how happy everyone was on that day. read more

ES creation is a team with professional and enthusiastic photographers. They did excellent job for our wedding in Stanford church 10 years ago and another great work for our family photos recently. On top of their professional photography skills, they are very responsible, patient and kind. Being a returned customer, I highly recommend the photographers Yoki and Simon. read more

First of all, i would really like to thank ES Creation for making my life different! I am a very picky person, and i love art, so I understand and appreciate a true photographer artist when I see one. And when I need to hire a Pro I am picky and have tested many different professional photographers. Having said that....I have hired ES Creation on several occasions...because after years of trying out new people, I have finally found a photographer company that impresses me every time. This year, ES Creation has photographed and videographer for my birthday party, engagement, and my wedding, Yoki is one of the photographer in ES Creation, he has a unique ability to make people feel comfortable and able to obtain those keen shots when people least expect it. When he shot our wedding we also had a lot of shy people but he was able to blend himself into the wedding and also he knows how to catch the moment where can represent the real feelings and emotions in the picture, which makes the photo comes live! Yoki is very understanding, very unassuming but yet sensitive to people's feeling and emotions. This year in my birthday party, a videographer Cressanne of ES Creation was shooting for my three hours birthday party, i only asked him to just record the whole thing, but when i got the DVD from Cressanne, wow, it was a totally surprised to me and i was stunned by his work and editing! It was only an three hours dancing and singing party, but he recorded everything detailly and he put together a story for me! The way he put them together really touches my heart, I love it so so much, and i keep sharing with my friends and family members, I'm sure he had spent more than what he got paid to edit the videography for my party, I really appraciate Cressanne and The teamwork of ES Creation. Each time we have hired ES Creation, the product was delivered better than expected. The key with any photographer is to explain what you like and expect. I always discuss with ES Creation what I expect and their customer services manger takes the time to understand our personality and expectations. Yoki and Cressanne talk to us about the style of the shoot, the feelings we want to show, as well as what what we want to do with the final product. This way they knows what i am expecting and he can put his twist on the product. ES Creation is the solution and the best choice I got for Photography and Videography, understands about art, knows about art, and creative about art! Every time I hired ES Creation has exceeds my expectations! read more

Simon, the owner, is very communicative and kept us in the loop for everything. We had Jin as our photographer. Jin is very professional and did an excellent job. We enjoyed working with him a lot. Would definitely work with them again and would recommend the team to anyone. read more

Simon and his team is great. They photo shoot for our wedding in Carmel last year. They were timely and really commit to their work. We are very pleased with their work and dedication. Highly recommended. read more

We got married in July this year. ES Creation (Simon and his crew) did a great job of capturing the day on video. They were very professional, courteous, and had great ideas on getting our vision across. We had a Chinese style wedding for the morning followed by a Western style wedding ceremony and reception. Simon and his crew spent the time to make sure all the special moments were not missed. They even stayed longer due to my big family! Editing was also great, Simon put together the video and had great direction for showcasing the day. Simon gave us time to review and make final edits, but the final video is 99% his vision and we will treasure it forever. Thanks ES Creation and Simon Fu! read more

Do yourself a favor and hire Simon. Hands down the best photographer I've ever worked with, and I work with a lot of photographers. He is incredibly reasonable, so much so, that my fiance and I felt like we were getting away with something. When I first saw Simon's photos, I thought it had to be a scam, the photos were gorgeous and his pricing is unmatched by anyone else in the Bay area (and in San Diego for his quality of work!)...but Simon was so responsive that I gave him a shot. Boy, did we make the right decision. My now husband and I got married at the City Hall, and though we planned to do everything low key, Simon did not treat our ceremony as low key at all. He arrived earlier than we did. He knows City Hall and knew the ropes in terms of the process. And, even though we had to wait for our appointment, Simon was consistently working to get great shots the entire time. My husband and I are not big on the camera, we're awkward, we don't know how to pose, but Simon navigated us through the shots and directed us to produce some wonderful photos. And, I am my worse critic! I always think I look fat! He also drove with us to the beach so that we could get shots on the water and took his time with us. We did not feel rushed at all. Best of all, Simon is incredibly honest and you end up getting a lot more than you pay for. He stayed way longer than we contracted him for, he paid a contractor to help and he had travel costs, I'm sure. My husband liked him so much that he said when we have family photos, we will fly up to the Bay Area just to hire Simon...and my husband is not the kind of guy to gloat on service! I absolutely loved working with Simon and I would recommend him to everyone I know! He is just a classy person, and an all around nice guy who produces high quality work. I can not say enough wonderful things about it. He deserves 100 stars for just being the total package. read more

Simon is great! We only had a small maternity photo section with them but Simon and his associate still did a site visit and research in Burlingame and Sam mateo area to pick the best place for our section. Simon and Yuki are both very experience and they will get the job done even that will require them to stay over time and they didn't overcharge us. All the photos came out great within the time frame that he promised and we are happy with the results. Will definitely recommend them to everyone. Cheers! read more

I engaged ES Creation for my big day, and am in general satisfied with their service. Our photographer Jin is nice, gentle and professional. His photos are natual and vivid, which are well received by all my family and friends. The shop owner Simon is our main contact point. He is nice, too (though sometimes slow in response), with rich photography experience all around the world. We had two conference calls before my wedding day which I found helpful for my preparation. read more

Three years after Simon took the family portrait for us, we had a renewal wedding at Berkeley in July 2014. Of course, I reached out to Simon again. But unfortunately he was in Taiwan and could not make it. Simon recommended his partner, Yoki, to me. I was a bit worried and concerned. However, it turned out Yoki was excellent too! They really have similar styles. Yoki was very professional and experienced. What impressed me was his passion for capturing the best moments for us. I recently attended a couple of wedding in East Bay and really saw the difference between Yoki and other photographers. 1. Yoki gave me tons of ideas of gestures and positions. 2. He gave guidance to people when we take group pictures. 3. He kept taking pictures during almost the entire ceremony and reception. 4. Good catch of precious moments. I got a lot of complements from my guests when they saw the group pictures. Almost everyone's expression was perfect and natural. 5. My scheduled shooting time ends at 9pm. They didn't leave until the reception party was over, past 9:30pm. They didn't charge me for any extra. I'm so happy to have ES creation to take my wedding photos. I'll definitely come back again. Maybe I should keep the secret so that next time when I need them, they will still be available. Well, I guess I would feel guilty if I did that! :) read more

I loved working with Simon on my destination Napa wedding. Very responsive via phone and email. Honest and accommodating. Simon and his crew were on time and catered to my flashy bridal party's need to be photoed by paparazzi. I absolutely love my photos! This is my very first review here on Yelp and it's a great honor and pleasure for me to write this review for a genuinely deserving individual, Simon Fu of ES Creations. Simon took pictures of my SF city hall civil wedding just this last Valentine's day and me and my now husband are nothing but amazed at how wondeful the pictures turned out. They were truly gorgeous and everyone in my family and friends circle gave me tonnes of compliment. I am really looking forward to Simon covering my Indian wedding ceremony as well as the Engagement shoot which was given to us with compliments of ES Creations when we signed up for their Wedding Package. Simon is very easy to work with and very dependable and trustworthy. He responds to emails and phone calls quickly and one does not need to run around and give him reminders. He is very punctual and sharp and I personally found that he truly has the best interests of his clients at heart. On our wedding day, he was able to talk to the officiant and secure us the Rotunda at the City Hall, which is one of the best locations. Had he not asked, we would have never known. Simon knowns the City hall like the back of his hands. Another thing that really impressed me and my family was the turn around time for pictures. I had my pictures within three business days, all color corrected and post processed available for viewing on smugmug. The rates offered by ES Creations are also very resonable and they have quite a few packages to choose from. Overall, Simon is just a real nice person and he made us feel really comfortable while shooting where it just felt like it was a friend who was taking our pics. Simon is very professional and really makes sure he gets the pictures his clients wants for e.g. we wanted to take pics outside in our getaway car and even though it was raining, Simon waited out in the rain and continued taking pics until he had few nice shots. I can go on and on but to keep it short and sweet, if u want quality, reliability, affordability, punctuality and professionalism then I can vouch that you can count on Simon Fu of ES Creations. thank you once again Simon for the wonderful work. Ritti and I absolutely adore the pics!!! read more

Simon takes great pictures. And for the budget we wanted, it was great service. The only 2 downsides were that (1) he arrived an hour later than we wanted him to be there (but stayed an extra hour) and (2) he did not take as many candid individual photos of my close family as I wanted. There were 1-2 photos of my parents in candid shots, but 10's of certain other friends. So that was upsetting. While the end product was great, there were also a few times during our communication pre-wedding that I was concerned about getting my message across. read more

Only positive things to say about this company. Very professional and such beautiful work. Just finished our engagement session and our wedding is coming up soon. OMG. I wish we can rate ES Creation with more than 5 stars. I think they deserve all 100 stars. It's my second review, because we are so amazed by their work. I posted my first review after we saw our Engagement photos, saying that those photos were breathtaking. And I posted how excited we are to take more pictures of our wedding now. We had our wedding on June 3rd, we were taking a lot of different pictures: serious, classy, elegant, and even funny. Simon and his crew worked so professionally and it was extremely easy to communicate with them! The pictured turned out beyond breathtaking. I have no word to describe how beautiful the pictures our. There are pictures of the moments that wouldn't be forgotten for the rest of our life. We are so happy that we had ES Creation as our photographers and videographers. They are amazing. Now, after the whole thing ended, I can say they are going to be our Family photographer. Cannot wait to have more work done with them in a future. read more

It was such a pleasure working with the Escreation team for my engagement photos as well as wedding photos (Yoki, Adi, Alvina [photographers] and Sandy [manager]). They definitely offer the BEST value based on my research. Not only was our package competitively priced, but the pictures turned out beautiful. They also deliver fast service; they uploaded some sneak peeks within a few days after taking them. My package included a 3 hour engagement session with 3 locations of our choice, one engagement photo enlargement (20x30), 18 digital files from engagement session, 1 8x11 wedding photo album (VERY NICE!), 300 4x6 photos in nice photo boxes, 1 wedding photo enlargement with frame (20x30), ALL my wedding day photos (yes guys, ALL of them! unlike most places that only allow you to keep a certain amount), 12 hours wedding day session, wedding photo video with 3 songs and last but not least, since I signed up before year end, they were offering a Christmas special which was a same day wedding slideshow. Holy molly! It was definitely a nice addition; our guests were able to enjoy the slideshow during our reception. With such a great deal you would think they offer mediocre service or bad quality photos, but nope! On the day of engagement session, they worked overtime to ensure delivery of the best quality photos for my husband and me. We were definitely thankful for their hard work. Btw, Yoki and Adi took my engagement photos, and they were also the photographers for my wedding along with their assistant photographer, Alvina. Even though my package only included 2 photographers, they brought an additional for more coverage, isn't that so great of them? They wanted to ensure everything was captured on our special day! =) Sandy is the manager and she was the point of contact when I first inquired about their packages. She was very sweet and did good follow up work. She understands the importance of our special day. Just let her know what you want and your budget, she will try her hardest to make it work. Sandy is very talented, not only is she the manager, she's also a make-up artist as well as a singer and MC! So do inquire with her especially if you're going to have a lot of Chinese guest, she can speak the language and make sure all your guests are entertained! Yoki was our main photographer; he worked very hard on our wedding day! He has some really good quality cameras as well. I heard he barely ate during dinner because he wanted to get everything on camera, thank you so much Yoki! He's very sweet and fun to work with! I hope to work with him again in the near future. My friend loved our photos so much, she also went with Escreation for their engagement and wedding photos! It was very nice to see the team again! =D As you are planning, you will realize how EXPENSIVE everything costs but at the same time, it's a once in a lifetime event (hopefully!) so skimp on the things that are not important and delegate funds to those that are, unless you're rich, get everything you want! haha Good luck, it'll be stressful but well worth it! =) read more

Our family is a repeat customer of Simon and Yoki. That says it all. We had them taking our family pictures with our two kids two years ago. They are very patient with the kids and able to capture the right moment while kids were skateboarding, catching baseball, running etc. We also did lot of family portraits and they all turned out very well. Fast forward to two years later, we got a new family member, a red husky. We contacted Simon and Yoki to take updated photos with our lovely dog. Guess what, they can even take gorgeous vivid pictures for our dog. Friends saw our dog pictures all thought he was a model dog : ) They have a very high standard and understand what we need. We communicated very well before each take. With the appropriate equipment, skills and most importantly experience, they turn everything so perfectly that we have great moment captured and posted on our family walls. Highly recommended for all occasions. Thank you Simon and Yoki. read more

Simon took our engagement photos a few weeks ago. The price was very reasonable; the service was very friendly and the results were just simply amazing! I say the qualities of the pictures are much better than what one of my friends got for her $4,000 wedding photo package deal. In fact, I've recently referred two of my very close friends to Simon. I'm sure they will all be happy with the pictures Simon takes. There are many photographers out there with high-end SLR cameras. But not many with the ability to capture the moment. Simon is definitely one of those a few who is able to capture the moment of the most important day of your life. Visit his website and you will see what I mean. read more

Imagine looking for a photographer/videographer for a once in lifetime event like a wedding. You don't want to screw it up. The prices/packages are all over the place. You hear horror stories of friends who just overpaid for the peace of mind and were thoroughly dissapointed with the final results. At a time like this, finding Simon from ES creation was such a lucky break! Simon carefully listened to us and came up with a plan that was just right for us. Unlike many others, his plan was very reasonable with no hidden fees. Still, we were taking a chance. It wasn't till the wedding day that we found out how lucky we had been. His team was awesome -- very professional and understanding. Made us totally relaxed for the video and photoshoot. The quality of their work is superb! These guys keep a low profile, are very reasonable and at the same time deliver exceptional quality results. Highly recommended! read more

This is long overdue but Simon - thank you for all the wonderful pictures you took of us for our engagement and wedding! I found Simon at random and from our first phone conversation, I like him right away as compared to the other photographers we talked to. We meet Simon at Baker Beach for our engagement session and for a couple who is not photogenic at all - Simon made us feel at ease right off the bat! We felt like movie stars afterward. Needless to say - the pictures were BEAUTIFUL. He even recommended a great Korean restaurant for us after the session as we were starving. He was so kind to guide us to the restaurant and made sure we were there before he took off. What service. And he was right - great food, great photos - couldn't ask for more. But the topper was our wedding. We had our traditional tea ceremony at my parent's house - which is small and dark. Every one of my siblings that got married - all their pictures came out dark and disappointing. So needless to say, I was worried. But OMG, when I saw our pictures - I was speechless. My whole family was speechless. They were bright, brilliant and energetic. Each one captures the moment so perfectly - the composition, angle and just something about it that made each and every one fun to look at. My parents were raving about the photographs as it's the best they've ever had. During the wedding, Simon was quick yet efficient. He paid attention to every detail and directed each shot to be just perfect. We're a big family with lots of kids so to coordinate it is not easy task. Thank you Simon! We can't wait to work with you again. read more

It was our younger son and my niece's first birthdays and we wanted to celebrate their special 1st birthdays by hiring Simon to take some photos of them. I was a bit worried during the photo session bc the little ones got tired easily and started crying a lot and not really cooperating... but OMG. The pictures came out soooo beautifully!! My older son who is a little shy of 3 years old was not cooperating AT ALL throughout the entire 2 hour photo session. However, Simon managed to take some really nice photos of him while he was playing with bubbles and eating his yogurt! Simon was very professional throughout the entire photo session. He showed up perfectly on time and during the 2 hrs, he managed to take so many beautiful photos of our kids and the family. We couldn't be happier with the result and I told my husband that every year, we'll hire Simon to take family photos! Simon was also very nice and added extra 5 free photos for us at the end! Simon and Yoki were my wedding photographers. I can't say enough amazing things about them...there should be 6 stars! The quality of their work is unmatched that I've seen compared to other wedding photography. They take classic, yet artistic photos. They are kind and fun and energetic and unassuming. If you want to have really awesome pictures of your wedding day, choose ES Creation Photography. I spoke with Sandy (the manager) to set everything up and she was really great as well. Sandy helped assure me that everything was going to be so wonderful, and she was right. All I kept hearing was that it was an honor to take pictures for our wedding day, it was my honor to have them all be a part of it. All of my friends AND other vendors like the makeup artist kept saying how awesome Simon and Yoki were. They also took pictures of my rehearsal dinner at my house and went above and beyond expectation for that. I am so thankful to have had a chance encounter with someone in an elevator in San Francisco that mentioned ES Creation to me. I may have never found them otherwise, and they were meant to take our pictures. I love ES Creation and you will too... read more
