I swear I eat more than noodles and Japanese food but when you have so many selections of your favorite thing, how could you not try and see where to find the best? Ersao ranks pretty high on that list. Maybe it's the chewy noodles. Maybe it's the fact I can't quit the Beef Genji noodles even if I tried.
See, that beef genji has this wonderfully soft beef and this rich hot broth with the slightest spicy kick that it's great if you're nursing a cold or a sore throat. Yes, I'm the kind of person who medicates with food. Their maki mi is pretty good too. If that doesn't satisfy, you can always order their dumplings or their fried tofu. Then there's their hong ma rice and their teriyaki chicken rice (with a generous slab of chicken, might I add) if you don't fancy noodles.
For a place that started out with Milk Tea and spicy chicken even before the Milk Tea Craze, the menu's grown. That makes me happy. It's good to see a place that isn't afraid to reinvent itself and still remember its roots. (And for the record, you really can't go wrong with its milk tea and spicy nibblies, either.) read more
