A very good Mercadona. This is probably the best option to stock up on groceries in Mojacar. There…read moreare other chain supermarkets around, but we prefer Mercadona when there are any around. They have constantly good products, fresh meat and seafood counters as well as a good range of veggies and fruit. Prices are more than fair and the products are of good quality. Besides that it's a good place to buy your water, soda, beer and wine. Good desserts as well. Parking is plenty (covered and uncovered) and free as usual. A very good shopping experience as usual.

There was a wide variety of "fresh" (over-ice seafood available at this location. There were plenty of drinks available as well as yogurts and desserts. There is a connected room with drugstore type products also. In addition, there store houses an abundance of libations. This market is adequate for your every day shopping needs. Do not expect gourmet or fancy products here but the selection is good and it gets the job done. Thanks, Mercadona! :-)

The store has a huge selection of just about everything. The checkout process was easy, and every employee we interacted with was friendly. I often visit the area and I prefer to buy food here when possible instead of visiting Mercadona in Torrevieja. The reason - it is less busy here most of the time. Prices and products are the same as in other Mercadona stores in the area. One final thing that sets this store apart - they have new lightweight plastic shopping carts that are not locked. You don't need to insert a coin to get one. Seems to be an experiment that never spread to their other supermarkets. Small detail that makes a difference. Will be back.

Stopped here on the way south to Mojacar. Needed to grab a quick lunch (Baguette, spanish cheese…read moreand Jamon) as well as milk, soft drinks, water, beer and wine. It's Aldi and you know what to expect. As usual the selection was good, prices low. Aldi always has some country-specific specialties of course. So we were happy to find good quality spanish cheese and Jamon. Stocked up on food and drinks here well, so we left happy. Easy to find, easy to park....easy to spend some money.

I couldn't believe it was not there anymore, asked the staff but nobody seemed to know. A must, must have item to stock in Spain for locals and tourists alike. Bring it back! 2) Where did you guys find the jamón you're selling? Is it made in Germany? You could sure find a better supplier! Too much fat and it doesn't taste like it should. Mercadona beats you in this category 200%. Spain wouldn't be Spain without these two products, "verstehst du"? That said, Lidl is a good store. Great choice of basic products, easy to find and park, never had serious issues with any products they sell. Just don't buy jamón and don't try to find gazpacho here. P.S. Keep baking the German style bread por favor, it's awesome

The difference - this store has a guard who's very busy walking around and watching people. More thieves here than everywhere else? There's a much bigger Carrefour store within a few minutes walk but Mercadona's business is thriving here. This is the optimal size - you can buy almost everything you may need daily.
