I'll start with the positives. April made us feel very comfortable during the photoshoot and was…read morevery friendly. However, unfortunately I wish I could say more great things. During our initial discussions, I asked for pricing. I got a somewhat vague response, saying options a la cart start at $85 and that we would discuss pricing in our appointment selecting images. On two separate occasions, I asked for April to clarify pricing as I didn't want any surprises. But the second time I asked, she copy pasted the same blurb she sent the first time. Fast forward to our ordering appointment about 2 months later. She showed us all of the images of us with our then 1 month old baby. We specifically chose the fall to photograph my husband and I with our one month old because of the importance that fall has in our lives. We loved the images and were able to narrow down from 60 images to 30 images we loved, as she suggested narrowing down to 30 images. At this point, we still didn't have pricing outlined for us. Shame on me there. At the end of the session, she opened a pricing booklet that showed that the $85 option was for ONE 8x10 image. Not digital, a print. One single digital image was $250. Those 30 images we loved (only which a dozen would be edited)..the cost? Just under 2,000. You can only imagine the disappointment of no longer having the option of having these images we loved because of the unattainable costs. After the appointment, my husband and I spoke and I reached out to April. She was nice about it and apologized for any confusion, but there really wasn't much she could do at that point. She offered a small discount off of the almost $2k but it still was way beyond what we would have ever imagined. She said that she sent the pricing format previously but I checked through both my email and my spam and it simply wasn't there. We ended up choosing to purchase 4 prints because that was the only pricing option that worked for us at this time. The reason I tell this story is because it is SO important to be transparent to your customers about pricing, and I don't want what happened to us to happen to others.
