Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. They paid $146 for a custom dash mat, which is not inexpensive, and specifically requested that the lettering be done in cursive. The owner even wrote "cursive" on the receipt, confirming the request. However, when the mat was completed, it had block lettering instead of the cursive lettering that was ordered. When my relative brought the mistake to his attention, he refused to remake the mat and would not offer even a partial refund. Rather than taking responsibility for an error that was clearly documented on the receipt, he refused to work with the customer to find a reasonable solution. Mistakes can happen, but good customer service is measured by how a business handles them. Unfortunately, this business chose not to correct its mistake or make things right. Based on this experience, we would not recommend Global Upholstery Services.

When I raised my concerns and requested that the issue be corrected or that we reach a reasonable resolution, I was told the work was already "cheap" and that nothing more would be done. Rather than addressing my concerns professionally, the owner responded with profanity and personal insults instead of attempting to resolve the issue with a paying customer. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop. I would encourage others to carefully consider their options before trusting them with their upholstery work. Beware: Grossly substandard workmanship and unprofessional customer service.

I gave my business to this place thinking it was going to be a good experience. When I spoke with…read moreMr. Marin over the phone he gave me all the different prices he had ranging from the cheapest to the highest price. When he got to my house he gave me a higher price that what he had quoted. I asked him why the price was much higher than what he had quoted and he could not give me a straight answer. I really needed to have my chairs reupholstered and ready for the holidays, so I agreed to the price. Not only my chairs now feel uncomfortable to seat on because Mr. Marin used a very thin sponge that goes flat when I seat down. I need to get up and walk just so that my buttocks don't go numb. He promised me a partial refund that I have not received yet. I have tried so many times to contact him, but he has been ignoring my phone calls and text messages. I regret doing business with Mr. Marin. I do not give him a zero star because that is not an option or else that is what I would rate his unprofessional business. Please take your business somewhere else.
