Product can only do so much, people. Then someone pointed me toward Good Fellas barbershop, and Mike changed my life -- or at least the part of it visible above the shoulders. The shop is small. Two chairs, a strip mall address, zero pretension. But don't let the modest surroundings fool you -- this place delivers. Mike listened to what I was going for, offered a few smart suggestions, and then executed flawlessly, including my very first "zero" (no guard on the clippers, for the uninitiated). The result was clean, sharp, and exactly right. This man is flat-out talented. If you've been cutting corners on your haircut -- or worse, letting someone who loves you but not scissors near your head -- do yourself a favor and give Mike a shot. You'll wonder why you waited so long. Spoiler: I know exactly why I waited. I was scared. Mike cured that too.

He checked with the other barbers, came back, and said it would be about 10 minutes. He even offered me a beer or water, so I figured I was good to go. Forty minutes later, not a single person approached me. No update. No "you're next." Nothing. Meanwhile, the barbers finished with their clients and then just stood around talking, cleaning their tools, and sweeping the floor. I waited another 10 minutes hoping someone would acknowledge me, but it was clear they weren't planning to take me at all. At this point, I realized you probably need to book online and give them your credit card ahead of time, despite the big "walk‑ins welcome" message. The shop itself looks nice, but the loud music and bass gave me a headache while I sat there being ignored. I got up and left. Thanks for nothing.
