I was referred to this practiced by my former Neurologist when my health plan changed. I made an appointment with one doctor and it was changed to another. I was told that the office would submit for an authorization for my treatment of migraines the same day, and to call back in a couple of weeks. My last treatmewnt outside of previous health plan had not worked so they knew I was suffering migraines daily. When I called back, I was to ask for Ed, and he never seemed to return my calls, and after I would call again leaving once again my work#, he would leave a message on my home phone. 1-1/2 mo later I called my insurance and found out they never submitted for an authoritzation, so I called again. Took me a couple of times, like usually, and them returning calls to my home. I was not able to ever talk to an office manager when I asked for one. I told them tIhey never submitted, no appologies, etc. I had to cancel old authorization and called them to tell them they could fax and get one on a urgent priority within 24 hrs. per my insurance and gave them fax#. n the meantime I was in pain, and asked the doctor to call in meds for me. Three times he was to call me back and never did. Three weeks later I get a call on my home#, authorization was in, but cannot get an appointment for treatment for weeks, or a return phone call from the person who schedules this from the doctor. I work in the medical field, and if we treated are patients like this, we would all be fired! They have not returned calls, not submitted for authorization, then fail to try to get me out of my pain as soon as possible, telling me to call at end of week, and they will try to schedule for the next two weeks. I asked to leave a message for the doctor and was given a bad time for that stating I would have to call his other office, when I know they just shoot him an email anyway. Research your doctors. I feel if their staff is this bad, and the doctor shows his lack of concern, you should run the other way! read more
