I had been a patient in this office for many, many years. Dr. Palmer took this practice over when the original owner of the practice, Dr. Skaret passed away. I was also a patient of Dr. Skaret's. So, I go back probably a good 25-30 years with this office. Not exactly sure how long Dr. Palmer has had the practice, I would venture to say, at least the past 15-20 years. This practice has dwindled down to a HUGE disappointment. I have never encountered such a rude staff in my life. The women that work for Dr. Palmer act like they are doing the patients a favor by being there. I stayed and dealt with it because I really liked Dr. Palmer. However, when my son went in for a medical issue with his head, when I tried to speak to a doctor with a follow up phone call, I was told Dr. Palmer, nor his PA's will speak with me on the phone. I had to keep going back and forth with messages through the medical assistants. When I expressed my discern for this, along with finally expressing how rude this staff is, I received dismissal letters from the office, dismissing myself and my children as patients. They said I was rude. I guess they don't think it is rude to put people on hold EVERY time you call there, and never even come back to answer the line. I guess it's not rude to not speak to patients, especially concerned parents, and I guess it's not rude to act like patients are insignificant. I wrote Dr. Palmer a private letter, which I never got a response to. I wrote him a second letter. The only response I received was his staff member calling me to say Dr. Palmer's wife (who is his office manager, though never in the office) said they would not reinstate us as patients. Along with this, every time I paid a bill, I got a collection notification because their billing service was so inadequate. I would have to repeatedly take time out of my work day to correct their mistakes. In addition, the only way you will see Dr. Palmer is if you make an appointment months in advance. Don't expect to get sick and see him, because you will be told he is completely booked. I always found Dr. Palmer to be a good doctor, and caring when I would have a visit with him, but his response, or lack of to this matter left me so disheartened. I can not believe a doctor cares so little about patients that he doesn't care how his staff treats them.
