Got fed up because he always cut my hair too short but decided to give him another chance so went with a photo. He did a reasonable job although shorter than photo/what I requested. Went back this time without a photo just for a trim/tidy, rather than a trim turned my hair into a short back and sides which was not what I wanted. Worse one sideburn is 1/2 above earlobe - talk about a bad haircut. It seems he believes men shouldn't have long hair so from my experience always goes at least an inch above the collar. He also charged $65.00. So while he is very skilled as other reviewers have said he has his own ideas and doesn't listen not super friendly either so likely won't be going back. read more

Well, I gave him a second try and it was worst than the first visit. First visit I told him it had been 4 weeks as usual since my previous haircut, so just trim it accordingly. My vision is poor without my glasses, so when he was done I was shocked at how short it was, but very smoothly cut. He gave me a discount for my first visit. 7 weeks later it was time for a trim again. I thought that if I talked more about what I wanted he would do better. I told him that the last time was way too short, so just take off 4 weeks of growth. He said OK and went to work. Wow, this time it is shorter than the first and much more chopped up. Hi everyone. I want you all to know that I waited a week to post this just in case letting my hair grow out would stop my daily disgust. It didn't... Ok, it's a week later and my haircut still is horrible. I read the reviews and called for an appointment. Eric was available that afternoon ( great ). I printed out pictures of what I wanted to have done to avoid confusion. When I entered the shop I was greeted not with the 'nice bottle of water' others describe or the 'funny hospitable' person even others describe. I was greeted by a man with a frown and furrowed eyebrows. Wow... ... And the frown never left during the whole time I was there. He sat me down quickly without many words beyond 'hello'. Asking what I wanted I said 'a directional or curtain cut as it is know from my research...sort of a fohawk'. He looked confused so I showed him the pictures. There were two pics with slightly different versions so he could see front and side shots.. I actually got into a slight argument because I kept saying I wanted it to look more like pic#1 but he kept pointing to pic #2 saying 'but this other has shorter hair' and I kept having to repeat myself saying 'I know...but I want it to look more like this one with longer hair on top". He quickly went to work in a rush of activity. Not much feedback or words from him and it seemed he wanted me out of his shop quickly. When completed he put gel and combed it back saying 'is it ok' and I have to admit looking at it greased back it looked 'ok'. So I paid and left after only spending 15 minutes there. And then when I got home and combed my hair out I realized that the left side of my hair is at least an inch longer than the right. it was a complete chop job and completely uneven. Horrible horrible haircut and pretty rude service to be honest. Unfortunate for the summer as I now have to grease it back so as to not be embarrassed. Pomade is now my friend. Great haircut. You can tell Eric has been cutting hair for a long time. He is very technically competent, expeditious, and fairly inexpensive. Two suggestions - call or text him for an appt. although he takes walk-ins. Second, wash your hair before you come in so you don't have to do that process and cuts down on the cost. read more

Eric is fantastic. I went in on the weekend and his schedule was open, which was very nice. First thing after sitting, he offered me a drink, I graciously accepted some chilled bottled water. After a quick discussion, he understood the look that I wanted immediately and flew into action! Watching Eric work is kind of like watching a chef at a dinner show. His comb and scissors are flipping back and forth as he details every hair from different directions. He really did an amazingly thorough job with no hair out of place. He consciously cleaned hair from my forehead every few minutes. After about 20 minutes he was all finished with a little bit of product to keep the look in place. I agree with Renee A. - Eric does great women haircuts at a fraction of the price of most other salons. My experience was exactly what I wanted. I walked in without an appointment, told him what I wanted (nearly 8 inches chopped off), told him I just wanted a cut - no wash or style nonsense. Trying to save money and keep the appointment brief. He straightened my dry hair, cut it, layered it, put some product in it, and I was good to go in 20 minutes. And I love the cut. He is not chatty or overly friendly, but he was polite and clearly focused on his work. Certainly can't complain about that! In fact, I appreciate not having to make small talk. Eric made me love my hair again!!! After searching for a good salon and enduring bad haircut after bad haircut, I finally found someone I can rely on to give me a great haircut. To begin, he cut my hair while it was wet and then finished after drying it just enough to get the feel for how it lays naturally and then completed the shaping and thinning. My hair is thick and has a mind of it's own. This technique makes all a big difference. He took his time and I walked out feeling beautiful for the first time in two years. He also cut my son's hair and was able to give him the style he asked for exactly. I'm done with super expensive salons, the poor quality and the obnoxious attitude that goes with them. Highly Recommended! Cost me $21 for a haircut that cost me $60+ everywhere else, and I liked these results better!
